^ seems simple, but this ones going to take some time...
Hey, Rudy! The 3000 grit Russ used was for the contact. The pads for restoring the brushed finish on the mod are either Norton Bear-Tex pads, ultra fine gray, [HASHTAG]#748[/HASHTAG], or Scotch Brite ultra fine gray, [HASHTAG]#7448[/HASHTAG]

Oh and Corey the other lil things you sent me look beast too. If only the parts from the other party would get here I could be back in business / upgrades. Corey goes above and beyond againthank you brother.
Note - that pic doesn't do it justice and I need to realign my air slots but now gotta go pick up kids.

Oh crap...thank you so much.. I think I was drunk on Nico while typing that...hahahah anyway, thanks for the tips..and will head over to Tom or Tom... lolHey, Markie! I think maybe your friend has a Tmod, as I've never built a 26650 mod, and I definitely don't do regulated... Hit up Tom over at Tmod Customs. Or better yet,... Hit up the other Tom over at Catfish Atty Mods. He's got a new DNA 200, regulated mod coming out. He'll get you fixed up.
To Rossum's point, yes indeed, that is the purpose of the brushed finish. The thing is,... the smoother the finish, the more scratches show up, especially if they go against the grain....
To Nauti's question, bead blasted would probably be a good option for scratch resistance, but you already have a 7068 mod that's blasted, so you already knew that...
My buddy Wes, with the blast cabinet,... will be going on vacation Friday... He'll be gone until the 12th...
I could put a rougher textured brush to it.... That'd help keep scratches from showing as much...
Wow is all I can say. This mod is the finest machining of metal I have seen yet, When I opened it up I had to put it under light to see the top cap seam. You on the list are in for a fantastic mod. Put a Nuppin on it and not a adjustment needed to be made. Thanks Corey you my friend are the master. Sorry for the sh***y pics. I'll be back... off to see how this thing vapes.View attachment 494621 View attachment 494622 View attachment 494623
