I think you nailed it, with the body chemistry bit. I think with 7075, the more acidic your bc is, the more likely it is to darken in the areas that are in contact with your skin the most.
Mine's nearly all black.

also the more acid your bc has the less copper and brass patina. my body actually cleans patina off

My 7075 gets super funky. I think it's been three weeks since a full spa treatment. Brass got the spa treatment a couple of weeks ago. My mods are grimy.

I've had my brassy for 4 1/2 days and its already gotten pretty dark, except for the top. I think my constant use of hand lotion may have something to do with it. Hmmm....hand lotion to force a patina? Maybe I'll give it a go just to see what happens.

Did someone mention weekly pictures? OK, if you insist.

Patina on copper is back to the point where it displays crazy colors when the light hits it just right:

That's exactly what copper will do if you torch it (flame paint). So pretty.

Please send me a pm, at your leisure, and we can discuss further. :thumb:
If you're doing what I think you're doing, bravo, kind sir! You may have beaten me to it!!

@JPHowell welcome! However long you need to wait to get a CC, it's worth staying on your meds for!!

Luv the lighting progression in your pic CC, from dark (Aal's) to light (HS's)

The brasseys look like three different metals

Thanks for noticing, Bob. :)

I try to capture the essence, nay,.....the soul, of the mods, when I throw my picher takin' game down.

Nailed it! :thumb:

I think I captured the essence, nay... soul, of this one. Wanted to make something special for someone this Christmas season. Something handmade, something that would bring a smile to their face every time the saw it or even thought about it. The gift that keeps on giving per say. @BobC , Merry Christmas brother. Anytime you miss seeing your name on a CC, just take out this pic and let it warm your heart, and think of me :)

Yes, my finish work is not quite up to Corey's standards, but it's the thought that counts :D
