I use noalox on the positive end of batteries. Deoxit on the negative screw and rim of the CC. I find that Deoxit doesn't stop arcing on the battery, but noalox will.

That's what I was suspecting, about the arcing, so thanks for chiming in. I think I'll be keeping on with the noalox on my battery tops for the extra protection. I don't know if it's just me but I'm noticing more arcing "scorches" on my HG2 battery tops, even with noalox. Almost like these battery tops are maybe made with a material that scorches easier than other batteries I've used, mainly AW 1600's. I'm having to lightly sand them on a regular basis to keep them clean.

Buffalo and Wicked Winnings II or III "penny slots" (hence my username) and if I win on the penny slots I let myself move to the dollar machines, I like Double Gold Bars and Triple Gold Bars dollar mechanical reels. Have had the most luck on those machines. My best hit ever pic and first hand pay....last night was a win for almost half this much, so still a very good night.

Thank you Aal. What about on batteries? I've always used noalox but I know lots of folks use deoxit on their batteries as well.
I'm using deoxit, but good point from pwheeler, I do get arcing with the deoxit although far less than nothing at all. Maybe I'll try some noalox on the make-break point, but I hate that stuff, too messy.

Yes it is messy and I think it sometimes get "cooked" and forms a slight crust on my firing pins over time which I then have to sand off, but I think it may be the best at decreasing arcing.

I find that the smallest amount possible is all it takes to suppress arcing. I put just tiny dab on the pos end of the battery, then use my finger to spread it. You almost can't see it there's so little on there. If I overdo it, yes, it is a little messy and can form a black spot on the firing pin. No pits, just cooked noalox, which isopropyl usually takes care of. Remember, easy does it with that stuff.

The problem I have with noalox is it attracts and retains dirt and grit. It is effective though.

This driptip is from my derringers but I ordered an SS chuff tip from element mods the minute i got the atty and also ordered another brass derringer tip from praxis.

The stumpy is the most well machined atty I've seen in a while.. It really is top notch and element didn't skimp, every detail is well- played out!

And it's not a leaker, unless of course, you have it on it's side and a deck full of juice! Even with a fresh sqounk if i pop the cap off juice doesn't seep out, it's great. If you haven't given a stumpy a ride yet, you better get on it while CH is pumping them out. ;)

Das a clean picher, right there, Rg! Mmmmhmmm... :thumb:

Really nice! :D

You will love the chuff! It's awesome being able to just look right down in there, and see the squonkin' action. It's like a sink drain, in 'ere... :D

I like NO-OX-ID, as opposed to Noalox. It's a conductive grease.

C, that picture I took is actually a cell phone picture! I was amazed at how sharp the picture is also. That thing is like a sink drain, the two post design helped make it a great bottom fed atty.

Just wish they sold brass top caps for it. I threw the idea by the owner of element that producing and selling top caps of different metals would be a great deal for him, I said that all the craze about his stumpy that they would sell like hot cakes.

And then I ended the conversation saying I want a brass stumpy topcap to match my brassy CC mod.

He replied back, fast, and said that he agrees but atthe moment he can't do it.

.... I can wait...

OMG That mod is heading my way. I can't believe it. This is the first time I have been made aware of really what it is. Corey has been in touch with me for a couple of weeks after I posted my desire to own one of his mods. Due to the cost of newly diagnosed cancer (8 weeks) and the treatment drugs I have to take, I couldn't afford one any longer and was thinking about skipping a couple of weeks of drugs ($327/week) to get one. Many of you encouraged me not to do that as well as Corey. Evidently, according to Corey, six of you stepped up and offered $ to help me get one. I am so very grateful to all of you. You have made an old man very happy and proud to be a CC Mod owner. Corey was very willing to donate his labor but I had been putting away a few dollars to someday be able to get one on my own and was able to help him out a little. I am very excited to see the pictures and see what it is. Corey didn't say anything about it until today so I had no idea before then. A copper mod is very special. I think this makes only two that Corey has made. It means the world to me to be the owner of one of them.

Talk about a very merry Christmas, I just had one as of today. Due to expenses, this is the one and only present I will receive this year. Thank you to those who helped fund it and especially Corey for giving up some of his time when he was suppose to be taking a break to produce it. Those are my 7 Christmas angles.

Absolutely heart warming! Congrats and best wishes during your recovery!
