Been kind of lazy myself, but I do try to do a thorough cleaning once a week, which should be today. I wash it completely and dry. I use a white eraser and clean the neg contact, then with 99% isopropyl and use a twisted paper towel and dry it up. I clean the top and body rim. Apply deoxit to the neg pin, top body rim and a fine coating of noalox to the battery top. Keeps my CC going really well! About once a month, I get really ambitious and take the firing pin and washer off and clean those well, then apply deoxit as I'm putting it back together. All told, for a complete teardown, cleaning and reassembly, it takes me about 20 minutes.

Yeah I don't see myself having to do a full maintenance much. Just thinking ahead. Nods. The performance on my cc has just been stellar.

I'm a very lazy vaper, and tend to really squeeze out as much vaping before the battery gets too low and my vape is insufferable. That's usually around the 3.6 or 3.7V Mark on my reo. These days I've been unknowingly draining them down to 3.4 or 3.5. I do quite like my cc ;)

I think psychologists have a term for that: "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder".

Do you change the oil in yer car every week too?

So mad at myself now. Accidentally had my cc in my pocket with coins and keys all day long, and just noticed it's gotten all scratched up. Face palm.
How much alcohol was involved in this "accident"?

No, about every 6 months or so. And my truck just keeps going! I just want to make sure both my CC's do the same :).

Sorry about the mishap, kiwi. :(
The bright side is, as the good folks here have pointed out, it's an easy fix.
Depending on how deep the scratches are, of course...
I'd be happy to rework it for you, though I know the distance between us make this a bit difficult. Just let me know if I can help. :)

Obama,.....best gun salesman in the history of civilization.... :thumb:

At least he finally figured out something he's good at....

Brother pdib turned me on to a place to get some dead soft silver rod. I haven't had/taken the time to play with it. The lathe will cut threads, and I plan to try that function out, one of these days.... :)
Since I have the most conductive Cee Cee made (to date), I should be your beta tester for that, right? :D
