So far, so good. I'd compare it most closely to a Derringer flavor and vapor producition-wise. I'm a huge Derringer fanboy and I think the Pancake is going to jump the D on my list of favorite attys. Granted, I've only had limited time with it but I like it quite a bit.
Derringers have been my favorites since I got them and then I got a Thump. I can't put it down and the biggest problem I have with it is no brass top cap option.
I loved the Derringer as well. I sold it to get something else (can't remember what, it's a revolving door of attys up in here), and the only reason was that it leaked on me a few times. The NarDa has taken over for me for the time being, but I was tempted to get a pancake when I saw it...
I just never know, especially with 22mm attys, if they're going to work well for MTL.
Might want to be careful with that if you think it's gonna "jump the D"
I almost got a thump but then I heard it was noisy. Is it noisy? They look really cool, though I totally get your problem with the lack of brass.
I can't say it makes any more noise than any other atty I have so I haven't been able to figure out what the hubbub was about. It never leaks, and the flavor is amazing. I'm going to burn a topcap next week and see if we can't get some purple going at least.

Interesting... well, I may have to check it out if Tom does another run. Some people seem to love it and others seem meh about it. But that's how it is with everything I guess.
I bought one out of the classies and bought the second online and have sent it to a friend to have it bottom fed.
I love the Thump. If yours is whistling, remove the snap ring to take it apart and deburr the air intake holes. Thanks to @Moxienator for that one. Mine sounds great now! Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to recoil/rewick it for my CC.
Okay, so.... I know this is off track and not a CC mod but I just had to show off my "Custom" soon to be "Classic" Woodvil! This was once an abused, chipped, warped, broken contact 510 connection Woodvil. The infamous Turbo man volunteered to take a look to see what he could do. After months of painstaking crafting this is the final result!! Bionic REO on Steroids!!!
Got my Brass CC in today at home 
Left work and picked it up at lunch but only had time to put a battery, juice, and Nuppin on it and then back to work. Took a quick picture of it on the car seat before I went in

Now that I had a little time actually vaping it, I just LOVE this mod! Its everything I thought it would be
I was surprised how small this turned out, I was expecting something a little bigger like the Sumpin so that was a nice bonus. The machining and finish are superb and overall the mod exudes quality. Im very pleased to add this to my collection.
