Not the best photos but, snapped them real quick finally. At last, found a setup for my ax1 clone that I like. 26g, 2.5mm, 3-2-3, .4ohms attached to the outer screws. Had to crop to post.

Lookin' good, E! :thumb:

Hey Corey, any thoughts on a media blasted finish? That takes care of the patina issue... at least on aluminum. Plus it looks cool as hell, I think.

The only thing about a blasted finish would be that you can't very well make it look brand new again, unless you have it reblasted. With a brushed finish, you can make it look brand new in just a few minutes.

I really should get a blast cabinet, though...

Very true, but, my experience is that the blasted finish holds up really well. I've have media blasted mod for many months now, and the finish looks new (except for a couple of small dings from a drop on concrete). I don't mind the dings, but my brushed mod seems to get black spots after only a few days and it just looks dirty. It's not a big deal to polish it, but not having to polish it would be even better.

Just throwing it out there... if you ever decide to offer blasted finish I'd be the first to sign up!

That's a good excuse to get a blast cabinet and a new air compressor to run it. :thumb:

The craftsman ac I have now isn't near big enough to blast with. Super noisy, too... A bigger, quieter compressor,...maybe even located outside the shop, and piped in..... I could go for that.:)

In the meantime.......

We have buttons!!!

View attachment 523607 Just dropping in to say I am enjoying my Brassy so much and appreciate how I was able to obtain it. I am using it at least 95% of time. Use others strictly to get a change in taste. Corey, copper is out of sight but love my brassy
Great pic. Glad you are enjoying it. Stay strong in your fight.

Good to hear JP. That setup had too much ramp up time. Ax1 has a bad rap, deservedly but I have to tell you it really performs well. Went back to traditional coils 26,2.5mm,7 wraps. Great flavor, good clouds, leak proof, bottom airflow.

It's a royal PITA to setup. Found a pretty good way to do it.

Normally a derringer guy. Still a great little atty. Almost jumped in on a thump. The reviews are so mixed though.

I was too. Then I switched to a Thump on the CC ("Serenity") and only put unflavored through it. Loving it.

The Thump is my favorite at the moment. Like a Derringer on leakproof steroids!

See, you love yours. It's almost 50/50 those who like and dislike the thump. Other thing that threw me off was I've never had a top flow that gave great flavor. The rogue was a disappointment for me.

Never had a rogue. I wanted top air for the leak proof factor, but couldn't get it dialed in for flavors. Then I got the CC and chose to switch exclusively to unflavored - which tastes great in the Thump. I think that's the key there.

Have to tell you, now that I have it tuned in the ax1 is really nice. Very flavorful, very warm vape, with good clouds.

Nightmare to drill through. Bought two. Broke the first center pin, on the second snapped a drill bit halfway through. Sat there with me occasionally messing with it trying to get it out for days. Finally did.

Attaching the coils is best done straight in from the top. Leaving the coil rod in the coil and bending into position. Legs have to be cut to an almost perfect length making it tricky.

I want to say get one and try it. Should be warned though.

Edit: and the drip tip isn't swappable....
