Went out for karaoke on this St. Patty's day...and for the first time in forever, I only took one mod, cause I had no fear it would leave me vapeless.

I dont know, but knowing Uwe I would guess it is inside a firearm.

It looks to be a buffer spring

it is the spring that dampens recoil.....in an M-16 they were called buffer springs, look at the diagram under the barrel....

and actually in your pic...I was thinking more of the firing pin spring for the area it came from

since it sends the slide back forward, it is pivotal in chambering the next round though
