My truck is overdue on an oil change but my mods get babied, used and carried but babied.
It will be interesting to see if a new silver negative contact changes things.
IMHO, on the aluminum mods, the under side of the cap/top of the body contact, is a point of potential resistance. On raw aluminum, a thin layer of aluminum oxide forms pretty quickly after machining/cleaning with scotch brite, etc....
Aluminum oxide is a poor conductor of electricity. It's actually a good insulator... It's best to use scotch brite to clean these areas, then apply no-ox-id, deoxit, or similar, to slow oxidation.

I've wondered about how to clean the underside of the topcap...so, just tear a small piece of scotch brite off and rub it? Shirts are getting closer.
It's been like pulling my own teeth while talking to a brick wall that's ignoring me to talk to another brick wall.
Communication... not so great.

Need not be said.Sorry this has been so much trouble for you, beck. I sure do appreciate the effort, for what that is worth.

Need not be said.
Though I do appreciate it.
I feel bad for my buddy. He hooked me up with these people because he has a good working relationship with them and they're honest and decent.
Unfortunately, they don't listen very well. And that's making everything nearly impossible.
To add to that, I have 1 person who still doesn't have an address. I think I'll be eating that shirt at this point. Rolleyes...
And... ... ... I'll be shipping them to me for distribution so I know at least that will get done right the first time. Dunno if that will mitigate or increase ETA.
I would get into details of my frustration ... but it won't help anything ... and I'd probably get through the character limit of 4 or 5 posts and give up long before I finish.
I just don't get it.

I would have thought so too.Why do people have to overcomplicate things? If they are in the business of making shirts, I would think it would be fairly straightforward?
I'll take that extra shirt.

First thought; "no problem, bud"I know you said that it wasn't necessary, but I second pens statement. Thanks for making it happen![]()
First thought; "no problem, bud"
Second thought; scratch that, they know better
Third thought; "any time, brian"
Next thought; eff that! I'm not doing THIS again.
So while I want to be cordial and appreciative in my response, I'm at a loss for words.[emoji38]
Thanks man, really.
