I know what you mean. When I installed the new battery in my Jeep, I slathered the posts and clamps with the stuff. It got a little runny when it got good and hot under the hood. It left a nice film behind that seems to be doing it's job. It's been a few months now, and still looks perfect. No corrosion, at all.
Corey, have you tried any of the longer 510 atties with the new 510 connection? Having a hard time getting my catfished Goon to sit flush.
Indeed! If you do back the insulator out, you should install the larger red o-ring that came in your kit, though.
This will drop your pin down, while maintaining a good seal around the insulator.

Also, if you find that the o-ring on the insulator drops you down too much, you can install the little red o-ring under the pin, and tighten it down to just the right height.
A l'il update on CC-V
I've been running a Hadaly with a SS316L single coil (.58 ohms, cold) since Monday. batteries are LG HG2's.
I vape between 10-12mls a day, and thought to monitor battery life. I'm accustomed to changing batts at about 6mls with a Classic.
At 6mls on CC-V, batteries measured 4.05. Back in the mod they went. Cocktail hour commenced, which means almost chain-vaping (cocktail hour lasted 2 hours - rough day! Vaped 2mls). Vaped a bit more after dinner. Checked again in the morning: at 10mls, batteries measured 3.96!!! While I'd usually change batts at 3.86-3.87 (just seems always to work out that way), I threw these on the charger cuz, well, it's a new day...
The CC-V is all I could have hoped for. It hits as hard as Corey's mods do, it's comfortable in hand, and battery life is outstanding. Genius!
