1 Black delrin button, you say?

No problem, my good man. I'll knock ya one out when I make h00ligan's Ultem one.
Please keep the bedroom pichers to PG-13 standards, if you don' mind.

It's a family thread!!!

Very much MTl and the 'l' is lower case for a reason. So how many of you are MTL vapors and what atty are you using with what build?
Thank you.Damn fine picher, my man!![]()

Yep, it's been about a month. It has been a while since we've seen ol' Brassy.![]()

High in the Blue Ridge, where spring hasn't sprung yet:

BTW, big props to @h00ligan for recommending Sunshine Cloth.
I've only tried it on my brassy so far (which to be frank, is has not seen much use so far 'cause she lives up here and I don't spend as much time here as I should), but it worked great.
The most BadAzz green mod in existence, right there!!!

A 10-pack was $17 or so on Amazon Prime.Great! I'm so glad you liked it! It's a champ for taking the cc back to pretty bare and then a rebrush is so simple with the grey pad. They're expensive sort of but if you buy a ten pack it should last a year or close to, $20 isn't too bad. Buying one at a time is like $5-6 per.
Dyed, stabilized maple. Not a CC. A pdib Pinch. Is the green one resin or stabilized wood? I keep seeing all these materials I haven't seen before. Beautiful. Is that even a cc!
Since we discussed the cc refinishing at home I thought I'd show you guys the sunshine cloth process and demonstrate how well it works.
Here's the literal five to ten minute process of restoring a cc with normal wear and tear to like new. Two microfiber towels are helpful. And a sunshine cloth. Pictured below.

I had some not so nice diff going on with the cc. The top was stained thanks to juice leak. There was a decent run down the side and the top had become hazed or slightly kind of scuffed. These are the issues.

After literally rubbing a literal couple of times this is what happens with the sunshine cloth. It sheds the patina and such via black dust. Wear gloves when you do this to make it much easier at the end. You can see how fast it cuts out the surface patina and scuffs.

After finishing the sunshine process in my case for about 2 mins rubbing you can see there is still the deep grain left but it's otherwise quite reflective.
![]()
You can get through all of that and get a mirror shine without machines, but it takes a lot of time. but if you rub a few passes you can get it finished like this.

For some reason the photo of the top didn't quite save properly but it took all the staining off.
Then I used two microfiber towels. I removed my gloves (you can see why I suggested using them)

I wiped down with a damp microfiber and quickly just dried it. At which point I went to my trusty scotch bright 7448 pad. With a slow run along it lengthwise with a fair bit of pressure you really only need one or two passes for the rebrush.
![]()
After that makes sure you rinse he top pit Cr well with warm water and maybe soap if you prefer. To ensure no polish went in the 510 that could transfer to your juice or get in your atomizer. I recommend removing the 510 parts before this but I use a quip to agitate in the hole either way.
That's it. Under ten minutes gets the cc like new.

You can determine how much brush effect you prefer. If you want barely any go with light pressure one pass. If you want a really durable finish hard pressure 5 passes.
I hope this is helpful and you guys find it as easy to refinish as I do !
Ps: make sure to polish the positive pin / arm while you're at it. If you're feeling less power this can get off the patina from the positive and restore you to full power. I also polish my silver button with sunshine cloths and all the 520 fittings, but that's less frequently. This process can be done once a week very easily for those of you taking the cc with you who may have it in a pocket with other things. Or monthly if you feel that's all t takes. The joy is how fast this is, you can watch an episode of Seinfeld and do three of them.. Corey send me two more !!
