I have been having problems with a generic pyrex tank. By process of elimination I have determined that I have slightly damaged the inner o rings causing my cartos to flood. I have decided to buy a high end tank and a filling tool, as well as some extra o rings. Phiniac and Big Daddy are the two that seem most appealing to me. Interested in getting any feed back that you good people are willing to give me on the pros and cons of each. Also, if there are any other brands that you can recommend, I'm interested in hearing about that too.

More information from you would help.

What battery device do you plan on putting this tank on? Does it matter what the diameter of the tank is?
Do you want the tube to be polycarbonate, pyrex, or stainless steel?
What cartomizer do you wish to use in your tank?
Do you prefer metal, delrin, or acrylic end caps?

I like the Triple V pyrex tubed tanks from Vallely View Vapors Triple V Pyrex Economy Tanks, but I would only recommend them if the vendor has either the delrin or metal endcaps available. I can't recommend these tanks with the standard silicone grommet, as they have to be filled with a needle inserted between the glass and grommet. With the aluminum or delrin endcaps, they can be filled like any other carto tank.

These are wide tanks at 1 inch diameter (width of a Silver Bullet), but at 4ml and 7ml they have a higher than usual juice capacity compared to other pyrex tanks. Pretty economically priced, at under $25 for the clear tanks with metal caps. Consider that you can pick up two of these to one Phiniac. Below are some pics of a my Triple V tanks on a SB and BB, clear and frosted.

I have one Phiniac tube on a Bella Elegance tank from Hoosier Vapors. Only the clear Phiniac tubes will fit on these tanks. It was color sandblasted with one of their designs. The Bella tanks are very similar to the lava tanks and JonboyUSMC acrylic tanks, the mouthpiece and top cap are one piece, which unscrews to fill the tank. Mine takes an XL carto being that the Phiniac tube is an XL 45mm length. My most expensive and prized tank.

I don't have any experience with the Big Daddy Tank, but I know that it comes with either polycarbonate or ss tubes. I highly recommend their tank accessory tool.

The OCD tanks from IBTanked Home are another inexpensive alternative pyrex tank. These are more slender tanks, and would more fit the style of a Provari or BB.

Only $5 for a clear pyrex tube. $10-20 for his more fancy, special pyrex-painted tubes. He has a huge choice in endcaps, from the $14 acrylic caps to $19 for the stainless steel. The manufacturer is an ECF member.

My primary PV is a Provari in silver. I like the matched finish available from big daddy. Its lined with some sort of plastic which to me is the sticking point. I prefer glass. I checked this thread a little late, and already put in an order at phiniac. I got a plain glass XLtank with stainless endcaps. I checked out IB tanked and that looks like it would have been a much better value. Oh well, next time I'll know better. Hopefully the phiniac isn't two much fatter than the Provari. Anyway, thanks for the tip.

Yeah, I found the tank thread in the provape section. I think the SS end caps should provide the continuity that I'm looking for. I'll be happy with it. Still would have been nice to save a few bucks, or waste a few less, depending on your perspective. Of course we always have the "how much did I waste on cigs" excuse to fall back on.

Good deal on those colored caps and clear glass tank. Thanks for the update, Baditude. You rock, bro.

I think they both look and work great, and it comes down to what your style is. Do you want a customized glass tank that you can color however you want to? Or do you want a simple, elegant metal to match your PV?

As for the tank tool, the Slap yo momma or whatever they call it seems a bit pricey for me when I can buy one for about $5. And I would say a tank tool is a MUST have. I bought mine with my first tank and can't even imagine what I would have done without it!

Though I do like that inexpensive option for multiple tanks, I use the vivi's for that. If you require glass for ALL your juices, Baditude offers a great alternative.

The only thing stopping me from using the vivi tanks is my juice. Most of what I vape is VG. I had no luck getting any of the clearos to wick it consistently and from what I can see the vivi's are more or less big clearos with changeable coils.

Yes, the tank accessory or fill tool is probably the simplest yet most ingenious tool invented for vaping.

It's my guess that you have the Phiniac or Siam Mods tank tool. I'm glad you like it. I have that one, too, but I did have some issues with it's size and shape not being as user friendly as the Slap-yo-Moma tool from Big Daddy Vapors. The Phiniac design still has edges that could theoretically cut into an o-ring, and isn't that a major reason for using these tools in the first place?

In my experience, the SYM tool and its skinny top allows a larger space for juice to be dripped and it is much easier grab to remove because of its shape. All of its surfaces are round with no edges to damage o-rings. Having both tools, I can confidently say I prefer the SYM and it is what I recommend to people despite it being almost twice the price.

Another vendor has their version designed off of the SYM tool (Got Vapes?) that may be cheaper. I have no experience with that one as I'm totally content wth the SYM.

Thank you so much for the comparison of the tank tools. I couldn't quite grasp why the SYM was so much more expensive. I can see your point about it being slimmer and easier to fill. My cheapo fits nicely into my 510's though, just like a drip tip so I don't see how it could mess up my o rings? I guess next time I run across a SYM-like one I should pick it up. Another thing on my never ending list
