Ok, first off let me tell ya I love my tank... (Don't cha just hate it when things start off that way, it's like your waiting for the "but"...) But here is my concern, and as I'm new to tanks it may very well be nothing... I put water in the very bottom of tank for half a day and didn't see any leaks, no liquid around gasket or anything like that. I put a pretty thin liquid in for first run, an 80/20 pg/vg. Wasn't long before I noticed that there is liquid under the gasket about 3/4 of the way around... Is that a predlude to a leaky tank? Is there a diff tween top and bottom? If there is then that could be the problem, but I couldn't see a difference.. Any help would be very appreciated, thx! Lastly let me say, I love my tank!! The colors are just absolutely gorgeous, did I already say that :) ?

Long time no PM ;)

I've been using carto tanks off and on since the 1st main one hit the market and will try to provide my experience on your questions..and anyone else feel free to add more or give your input..

Is that a predlude to a leaky tank?

Well it could be but I really don't think so. A lot of it comes down to what cartos you use as well as if you just got a bum carto and if you made any adjustments (sliding up or down) to the tank after filling. It also could be the o-ring got moved out of place or possibly cut from the end of the carto when inserting it. Also I am not 100% sure where you are actually getting the leaks. I know you said gasket but is it leaking from the actual connector\thread area or actually from the hole in the tank where the carto is placed? If it's coming from the connector it's either a bad carto, the carto is something other than a Boge and the filler is over wicking, or it's just got too much juice in it. If it's the later part you just need to blow out the flooded carto by removing it from the tank or try to block the holes or slits to prevent juice from flowing in while you either blow it out or vape through it.

My quick experience I had with a leaky tank is that I overfilled it AND it was a bum carto as it would always flood, my juice well would fill up and I just couldn't do anything. The juice was leaking out of the connector threaded end, not the tank. This wasn't on a BDV tank, this was my very first experience so of course I was calling BS on carto tanks until I gave it another shot and it started working again. At that time I didn't know much about punching and cut the slits with a Dremel, since then I only punch cartos as I am paranoid about metal shavings when using a Dremel.

Is there a diff tween top and bottom?

There shouldn't be as both of my steel caps fit the same way for the tank as well as the cartos I use. Just keep in mind there are many brands of cartos and the Quality Control isn't the best where they are made and the only reason I mention Non-Boge cartos in your first question's answer is because that seems to be the consensus when people have issues with leaks, no or over wicking, etc.

If there is then that could be the problem, but I couldn't see a difference..

This shouldn't be the problem at all.

Hope this helps some, feel free to PM or Skype and I can go in more details as I don't want to bombard Big Daddy's thread, cause you know I can write LOL but just wanna share any knowledge and help I can.

Thx Ed, long time no hear :)... I guess I shoulda said o-ring instead of gasket. I do have a mod that gasket is relevant so my error there... I only filled it a lil under half just because... I did compare it to another kind of tank that I had received today from the classy's and there was no liquid under the o-ring which is why I got concerned. The carto is one that came w/the tank and was pre punched. Now I did have to adjust it after I put the top cap on as the carto slides pretty easy. So that I'm being careful with. So that could be it there. I'll just keep an eye on it and expect the best from it :) :)... Good info there for me, thx again !

Sallie, we are not sure about the anodized aluminum colors....we are having a hard time finding a vendor that is consistent with the colors. We had to scrap more of them in this run that we care to talk about. :(

We will keep you guys updated with what is going on with them...but for now...the vendor search continues.

Hi kc, has the question of when the aluminum will be back in stock been asked and answered yet?

I have a complaint.I received my Lil Mama tank today. It took me a whole 5 minutes to set it up on my Provari and it didn't leak. What's up with that? It should have leaked.Even when I tried to make it leak and believe me I tried realllly hard it didn't.So now, I'm going to have to buy another one. I'm onto your selling tactics. Make it good so it won't leak and they will buy more. Well it worked. You should be so ashamed....
When are the purple caps coming in?

I never got the fanboy thing. If you like a product so much that you want to talk about it why are you considered a fanboy. If I like something so much that I want to spread the word, I'm doing it. Maybe it's just me.
