I have decided to pick one of these up, just because of all the good reviews and the reasonable pricing.

First, I have heard people buy Big KaZoo kits that come with a charger and everything you need for the setup, but it looks as if they only sell the box mod itself, anyone have any info on this?

Second, I was wondering what cartos you guys are using with this mod. It states on the website: "
We also recommend you use at least 2.8 ohm or higher atty/carto on this unit. "

Thirdly, if they aren't selling kits anymore, if I were to buy the Mod by itself, does it come with the batteries at least, or do I have to get those as a separate item?

I have contacted KVS, but they are closed on weekends, and I have little to no patience
:)

You'll need batteries and a charger if you don't already have them.

The reason 2.8 ohm and higher is recommended is the fact that it is a 5.0v mod.

I'm pretty fond of 3.0 ohm boge and 3.2 ohm smoke tech single coils on 5.0v. 2.0 and 2.5 ohm dual coils perform nicely as well. Hopefully you already understand the difference between single and dual coils as to why the lower than 2.8 ohm in duals works well...

So I just got my Big Kazoo Today...Instead of getting regular cartomizers, like I should have, I ordered this based on the single review it had. Based on the description it seemed like wicking wouldn't be a problem. Wrong, it wicks terribly. Sometimes I get good, tasteful hits, but most of those are only 1 or 2 second drags, and after those couple of seconds I can't hear the sizzling of the juice anymore, leading to dry/burnt hits. I'm using a 70/30 pg/vg blend so by no means is the juice thick, so it shouldn't be a problem. Anyone else try these things out or something similar and know how to fix/improve the wicking issue?

In the mean time I'm going to go ahead and order either some boge single coil 3.0's or some smok tech 2.0 dual coils. I wish I would have done so in the first place, because I have nothing else that will fit on the Big Kazoo at the moment and I'm dying to use this thing!

So I just did a quick clean and dry burn, and also I read somewhere, that with ce2 type clearo's that the silicone cup should be raised a little bit and that will offset the dry/burnt taste, so I did that, and threw in a different juice (50/50 blend) and this thing rips like a freight train. So happy with this simple 5v box mod! Still ordering some cartomizers though :D

That's a good idea. CE2 type cartos are finicky. Sometimes it's nice to have something that you fill up, screw on your PV, and it just works.

I know you'll enjoy the Big Kazoo for a long time. I have a kalamazoo triple-v and I'm told the electronics are the same in the triple-v and the big kazoo. The triple-v is one of my very favorite mods.

Exactly, the ce2 seems to work fine most of the time for now, but, like you said, i just want to fill and go. What carts do you use for your triple-v? And isnt the triple-v the stacked battery one they offer at kvs? After hearing about exploding batteries, stacking makes me nervous, I'm sure it's fine if you make sure your batteries are in good shape and not overcharged.

3.0 ohm boge and 3.2 ohm smoke tech single coils. 2.0 ohm smoke tech dual coils work really well on 5.0v too.

I'm not afraid of stacked batts. Though there have been a couple of incidents lately that may or may not have been stacked 16340s (the assumption is they were stacked batts, but no one actually knows that besides the people actually involved in the incidents) that caused injuries, the chance of that happening is very low. The triple-v is vented and I think well enough vented - ECF apparently doesn't think current vents are enough, but my opinion of their knee-jerk reaction ... Well, let's just say that I hope it all works out for the best.

duh, i didn't realize it was you still replying lol . yeah I ordered a few prepunched 2.0 ohm dc's from smok tech to go with the tank I ordered as well. Should get them on monday. In the mean time, the clearo I got from kvs is working fantastically. Not one single dry hit in almost a day. Time will tell, but it's definitely doing it's job for now, and I have fallen in love with the Big Kazoo. Another quick question...what's the difference between the ST Big Kazoo and the regular one. I know it's a color difference, but is that it? Maybe it's a different plastic altogether?

I haven't the slightest clue. i sort of figured someone would know and chime in...

I will say that when I emailed kalamazoo vapor shop, I had a reply to my question the same day. That will be your best bet to get that answered.
