My strongest 'urges' were not right at first either - they were about 3 months in and I still handled like I did at first - when the urge hits, hit the ecig first for three drags and if I then still wanted a cigarette, I would have had one. But that never happened. When the nicotine hit the bloodstream I was good to go.

There is a technique you might use though passed on to me from Rob at liquidxpress - vape low (for you 16-18mg) and top off high when the urge hits you. So get a bottle of 24mg in the same flavor and when the urge is strong top off with that rather than switching exclusively to the higher mg strength. That worked for me well. I also lost the urges by going to mods where you're getting the full peak voltage from a 3.7volt batt for a long time and as a result more vapor and more nic absorption. That's when I was finally able to set the ecig down for a while ;-)

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I keep some STRONG tobacco flavor juice on hand, Tonight i had to break out my OLD 510 and the Tobacco juice 25mg, and i got the feeling of smoking a cig and it got me thru it, I vaped that way for a few hours and now im fine and back to vaping my Blueberry on my ego. For me it isnt just upping the juice strenght its the whole "it has to feel like a cig in the hand, It has to taste like one, and it must produce vapor" to get me over the hump and that is why i keep my old 510's around they do the trick for me.

Well I did get a few times the urge to get an analogue and as per the advice of some older members here when it happened I did light it up. I could not believe it but after the second drag I put it out - it tasted awful. It hapened another time afterward - like a week later and I did the same - second drag, and wanted to spit out and go and wash my mouth. I still like the smell of the smoke, but cannot stand the taste of it.
Since then every time I get the urge for an analogue I just remember how I felt these two times and that's enough for me to withstand it.
In the beginning I was afraid that if I try one analogue I will not be able to stop and it took quite a while to get the courage to try it, but listening to older and more experienced members of the forum was correct, as with many other advices.

I agree with mvc - trying an analog at this point would likely deter you from ever wanting to do it again. Hard to imagine why you'd get such an urge after 5 months, though. Have you tried one of the new WOW cartos yet? If not, give one a whirl - they should crush any desire to have a wimpy analog ;-)

Nice timing on this thread. I've been smoke free for just over 5 months, and vape 18-24 mg/ml. I've been noticing cravings for the past week or so. They're not very strong cravings, but I haven't had any at all for a few months. Extra 24mg vaping eventually kills the craving. I'm noticing the cravings more when I'm tired or frustrated, rather than when I'm using the lower mg liquid.

Last weekend my hubby had to be helicoptered to UVA hospital after collapsing and finding out that the artery that leads away from his heart had torn open. They had to do emergency surgery to crack his chest and repair it. Needless to say, this was very stressful and I really wanted a cigarette. Since I started vaping last June I had only had 1 (about 3 months after starting after an argument) and it didn't taste horrible, but it gave me a migraine that lasted for 2 days and the smell of the stale smoke afterward was hideous. Thankfully, I had the memory of that to keep me from picking up a pack of cigarettes to pass the many hours when he was in ICU and they would only let me in occasionally. If I had tried one and ended up with a 2 day migraine while he was in hospital and needed me it would have been awful. I'm really glad now that I'd had the one earlier that I had been feeling guilty about until this happened.
