LOL...love it.
You're down to 26 on your RSST? I was using 28 and just went up to 32. Vaping much better now in general but flavor seems a bit dimished. Tried the Rip Tripper verical micro coil with the tiny wick tip wrapped with cotton and wasn't thrilled with that either.
Change the set up every time chasing the unicorn with that topper....
Also, like I said, the 26 GA is pretty slow to heat up. The 28 is a lot more responsive. It's not reasonable to microcoil with 32 gauge because I'm going for a large surface area coil covering as much of the wick as possible. I suppose that leads to more heat distribution? If I did a 32 gauge coil that size, it would be like 4 ohms
I'd say I caught the unicorn lol
This is the 2.0 ohm 26 gauge coil
Edit: It wound up being 2.2 ohms. I have it running at 5.4 volts and its a pretty smooth vape. Minor explosions happening inside the chamber when you first take a draw, but hey, you gotta stay on your toes right?
Seems like a warmer vape than my last build. It's a little tough to compare because today I tore down my 2.9 ohm 28 gauge build (originally 2.5 ohms a month ago) and replaced the mesh and everything. Normally I'll wrap another coil around the same wick, I just flip the wick over.
The original wick actually had a hole in the outer layer of SS mesh because of the heat from the 28 gauge coil. This was what that one looked like all spooled up on a dry burn
Clearly the 26 gauge coil is far larger in size than the 28 gauge. I'd rate them about even for overall vape quality as of right now. I did just add the chamber reducer last night, so maybe my enjoyment is more of a function of that. Really contemplating the ribbon though
