The film will be screened in Kansas City on Nov. 15 at a movie theater a few blocks from my home. I immediately tried to buy tickets, but according to the ABL website it's sold out. :( Now what?? Is there a way to find out who organized this screening?

22 left now. At the top of the ticket sale page it says,
A Billion Lives
Promoted By Debbie Wood
Tuesday, November 15, 2016 8:30pm–10:10pm

India like other countries where there is little restriction on cigarette sales reap big $$$$ from tobacco companies and really do not care if their population thins out due to tobacco related diseases. Has anyone seen what if anything is done in India for instance to educate people into Tobacco Harm Reduction.? Would be interested in reading this

When India rejects David Goerlitz, it's time to integrate that as a central part of the promotion efforts for A Billion Lives in India. Turn the tables on them. Make them sorry they ever even thought to make such a blatant move. Lemons must become lemonade.

The obstacle is visibility. And there are only two ways I can think of to get visibility. Money, or raise a ruckus. We don't have money, so ruckus is all that's left. Get the media to pick up the story of the WHO versus the Winston Man. Fits right in with the entire theme of A Billion Lives.

They are way ahead of you, dc. A person with the "right" media contacts put the word out last night ;)

BDH, So glad that you are going to be able to make it. I am going tomorrow night and looking forward to seeing it.

The media do not give a ....e and raising a ruckus will get you arested. Personally the choice was given to me vape or smoke. Cigarettes in India and other Asia Pacific regon are dirt cheap and are sold individually for a few cents or whatever the small currancy is. Vapes and vape juice is vitually unknown and expensive. So where you got an income of $100US per annum do you think that family is going out and buying expensive vapes?

The government is not about to make the healthier alternative cheap. Why should they, all they want is a full treasury and Tobacco sales in these countries contribute to the largest percentage of that filling.

Though this "meeting" is being held in India, it is global in both attendance and impact.
This is a whole lot bigger than just India.

But you're right, I did say to make it part of the promotion efforts in India.
I should have just said to make it part of the promotion efforts, period.

Good luck with the publicity etc. As I said before I do not mind supporting Arron and happily buy 10 dvds to give to those that cannot afford them. But I point blank refuse to waste any more of my time and money surfing around trying to find where it WILL be screened in Australia and I will be damned if I will pay air fare to travel to the state or city screening the same. As I said on many occasions cinema owners are only interested in box office hits...without deliberatly being rude I say in that case [Moderated] cinema owners.

I get that. Most of us wouldn't fly or drive many hours to see it. But that just means you'll have to wait longer. It will eventually end up on dvd and netflix I'm sure, but right now it needs the publicity that only theaters can give it, to get more backing so that more folks will look at it on dvd or netflix instead of passing it by.

Thanks! I'll be attending along with an old friend who's a documentary film maker.
wahooooo that's great. Your friend might even have more contacts that could be useful for the film.

First they ban the star of our movie from entering India during WHO's #COP7FCTC. Now they ban us from covering their shady event.

There is only one reason organizations ban media from an event...they're planning to do something shady. Watch this report from The Rebel & cry.

They let Big Pharma funded Canadian Cancer Society people in, but not the media.

The media is invited to attend our Indian Premiere on November 9th. We'll provide all the answers...

Wow! Had to pause halfway through this. The first woman should have stuck with no comment. But good on the journalist for pressing. No comment was despicable.... but when the woman finally said she had to speak to her delegation and then would get back with the reporter...... THEN said she was the head of the delegation..... omwwwwwww that just is beyond crazy. Ok......gonna watch the 2nd half now

She's asking great questions, & very clear & direct about it. Who are the American delgates there? We need to contact them. Maybe thru our Senators & Congressmen. This is clearly censoring the freedom of the press, & The Constitution in more ways than one, so what is their excuse?

Tom Miller has come down on the side of vaping before. He is a VERY credible, sensible guy and his opinion will carry a lot of weight with the AG's of other states.

I have a home in Iowa, and I was quick to get a letter to his office thanking him for his brave and commendable support for Vapers. I have since also noticed a sea change in how I am regarded while vaping in public in Iowa since he started championing the virtues and possibilities for us.

I think anyone who advocates (everyone should, dammit!) might help serve our cause well by emailing your support and thanks to his office. In politics, it takes a SPECIAL kind of guy to stand against the flow.

Contact Us | Iowa Attorney General

This was the response I got back from the Iowa AG's office regarding my letter

"Understandably, most people contacting our office have complaints or concerns. We appreciate you took the time to say thank you. I will share your email with General Miller."
