Hello everyone,

I received a diy vape order about 3 weeks ago where i got flavourart black touch and flavorwest black licorice. Last night i indulged in a bag of black jelly beans, and my family kindly informed me that there are health concerns with consuming too much black licorice.. Specifically heart problems and raised blood pressure..

I didnt really eat the whole bag so that didnt concern me, but I have been vaping fa black touch most of these past 3 weeks and occasionally flavorwest black licorice.. Not much info about whether vaping has similar concerns comes up because it goes right to the popular topic of eating too much of it..

So my question is does anyone know if this is a concern? The black touch is supposed to specifically be like the licorice root, which is the part that causes the problems when eating too much..

Thanks in advance for any help.. Its highly appreciated as I do have personal reason for this to be concerning..

Respectfully,

Ken

"she notes that some foods that advertise themselves as “licorice” or “licorice flavor” use anise oil, not true black licorice. Those foods will not put you at risk for arrhythmias."

I guess check the ingredients on your Jelly Belly's?

The health concern may have been that they were sick to death of smelling black licorice and were considering killing you. Only one I can think of anyway.

I have no idea if inhaling a liquorish flavor would cause problems. It's a different delivery method. I guess you could check your blood pressure and see if it's changed.

If you have concerns, there are tons of flavors that don't have liquorish in them, and they're excellent options. I would just move on if you are worried.

Oh trust me i know, I have a cabinet full of too many choices lol... Ive already moved on, just thought it was worth a shot seeing if anyone on here knew anything more about it. It sure isn't the only flavor I enjoy, just a new discovery to me as i normally ordered from wizardlabs and they dont carry them.

Thanks

Ken
