Welcome, cerver7

Which flavor are you getting?

If all you will order is a pack of cartos, and a litlle sample 5ml bottle to start, I would think you will need more. Imo, I need no less than 30ml and maybe 10 cartos at any time, especially in the beginning.

Shipping is also almost $7, whhich is more than half of the cost of a sample taste and a pack of coratos. This means you would be placing your following order extremely soon after receiving the first, raising the shipping expense to almost $14. So one 5ml taste does not seem like enough for me.

hey guys,

I got a menthol sample from them with my kit last friday. I also got a few free regular flavors. I do like most of the menthol flavors that they gave me.

I was just curious about the process of getting blank carts and juice and the process of filling it. I guess each cart can be filled a few times before throwing out? how do i clean the cart before re-filling? i am just in the dark with the whole filling it with juice thing. I have been using my greensmoke E9 and this new KR808 and both i was getting pre-filled carts.

thanks.

Doctor Vapor also shows the cap filling method here, bookmark this if you found it helpful, and pass it on:

YouTube - A Great Way To Fill Cartomizers

awesome video. Seems very easy. So i guess if I buy a pack of empty carts and a bottle of liquid i can try this. How many times can i refill it before throwing it away?

There is some learning involved, at first it will probably be good to not stretch it too far, but eventually you will find some that you can keep moist at all times and refill many many times.

Parts 1 and 2 below. PLEASE NOTE:The filling method was updated to the video I posted earlier above. Good info here, but for filling, use the 'cap method' already described.

Cap filling is the way to go, it is easy, quick, and you dont have to disasemble anything.

I took my first set all apart, boiled them, used alcohol to wash them out, and drip filled them from the cap end. WHAT A WASTE of time!! plus most didnt work afterwards, so I wasted a lot of time and juice. NOW I just fill the cap, and press the carto into it, spin it to get the juice to the bottom, and I am good to go. I have been testing (no so scientifically) how long a carto can last by using TWO, and refilling them over and over switching them out until they fail, and they have lasted for DAYS! I am amazed.

I don't like the Filler Cap method since Juice can get on the wire and flood the battery terminal.

Here's my technique:

1) lift off the cap at the end of the Cartomizer. I use a T7 Torque Screwdriver but you can use a thick paperclip or part of a coat hanger. You want to use something that fits in the hole bit is dull at the same time so it doesn't damage the cap (especially those hard plastic caps). If it is a hard plastic cap, gently pry it at different 360 degree angles a bit at a time so the cap doesn't bend/break. Its so easy with those soft silicon caps, they come off in 1 second.

2) Make sure the wire is in the center of the cart, if it isn't, gently move it in place using a dull thin object (toothpick for example).

3) With the cart at a 45 degree angle, drip 15 drops onto the inside edge where the cap sits so the juice flows down into the material by itself. Try not to get Juice on the wire and dont rotate the cart. The juice will work its way around itself.

4) Add more drops once every three seconds. Once the juice stops being absorbed by the material, the Cart is basically full. Pop the cap back on and clean any juice run off with a paper towel. Wash your hands if you got any juice on them.

5) Hold the Cart in your hand with the cap end towards you, and 'whip' it in mid air a few times so the juice runs down into the material (towards the battery end). You could also try spreading the juice by holding the cart next to something that vibrates such as a Battery powered Razor.

6) Wipe/Dab the battery end of the Cart with a paper towel, just in case some juice escaped onto the battery contacts.

7) Do a test Vape, if no Vapor comes out, simply place the battery end of the Cart onto a tissue and gently blow into the Cap side a couple of times. This will remove the excessive Juice. Clean the battery terminal of the Cap after doing so.

8) Vape and enjoy. There is no need to let it sit for hours.

K24 - you'd save a lot of time and playing with vibrators (not that that's a bad thing or anything) if you did a Taryn Spin instead.

I've tried that technique and it does work ok. However the .. erm vibrating razor technique lol gets the job done in about 3 seconds. You can actually see the liquid sink down quite quickly. Its a bit of a hassle carrying one of these around though lol. Maybe you can use your Mobile Phone instead :p

Place the Cart parallel next to the switch area of one of these:

The end result is the same.. there are little air pockets trapped under the juice that you just filled with, so the vibration/spin allows the juice to enter those areas and reduce "dead" spots in the filler material. There are many techniques out there to accomplish this task, so pick one you are comfortable with and go with it. Try them all and see what works best for you.

Everybody has their own system based off what they've learned from forums and personal experience. None of the techniques are overly better than any other.

Order more than 5 ml juice, you won't be sorry. When I'm using once flavor obsessively as I tend to do, I can go thru a 5 ml bottle of juice in a day.......

I refill a cart about 5 to 10 times. I like the new soft caps, they come off easily. When the material in the cart starts to look nasty brown, or the cart doesn't last long after filling, I either pitch it or rinse it with hot water, blow the excess water out, let it dry a few days and try to use it again.

Been lazy lately and don't bother trying to rinse and reuse them......lazy days of summer......
