Hi Guys,

Usual story... Smoking for 31 years, 22 of them RYO. Tried a disposable e-cig last year but didn't think much of it. A couple of weeks ago I started hearing an advert for e-cigs on the radio and thought I'd give it another try. I looked around and, after a few days, ordered a kit.

Now I have two Kyngo (Kingo) kits (one was free) with four different juices (18 and 24mg), a wall charger and a safety charging bag... 

Started using it but still felt the need to smoke, no where near as much though. (Hadn't quite got the knack of it yet, obviously. :D )

Found this site and started lurking (and learning, lol)... Liked what I found and joined!

I'll probably have lots of questions for you soon enough but for now...

Hello! *waves*

Thanks for the welcome, chaps. :)
I'm already looking at getting either a protank 2, or the mini as my first upgrade as I know I need something better than what I have (who knew upgraditis would strike so soon. Lol). Apart from that, it'll be trying different juices to see what I ones I prefer and continuing to learn from the many threads here.

Welcome to ECF Big! It takes some people a while to completely get off the cigarettes. Don't sweat it. If you keep having problems you might consider going up to 24mg to get over that hump in quitting. The important part is getting off them, not how fast you do it. Sounds like you are off to a great start.

I'm down from approx 30 unfiltered cigarettes per day to about 3, so I see that as a major achievement! :) lol.

Thanks to this forum, I've learned that vaping is a totally different technique to smoking. I was doing the "two second draw over five minutes" thing I was used to and wondering why I still craved an analogue. Oops! Lol. I now know better and the cravings are gone (Hoorah!). I just have to get over the habitual actions now...

Oh well, onwards and upwards! :D

Welcome to ECF. From my personal experience any reduction in cigarettes is a good first step. Don't be afraid to ask any questions as there are no stupid ones. If you feel like everyone is ganging up on you then that usually means you are doing something dangerous. Finally, the search function will usually point you in the right direction. Here's to you and your Vaping journey[emoji482]

Welcome Big Me...

Now, do you want the good news or the bad news?

Kyngo is an over-hyped creation of OK Smokey and/or Exhale e-cigs.

In fact, OK Smokey describe it as "Kingo, simply the finest and best electronic cigarette on the market.".... which is, of course, possibly the most laughable, yet legal, boast in the entire universe.... discounting the idea that an E-Lites is the equivalent of 40 cigarettes.

Typical e-cig marketing... we/you get used to it. Take a packet of salt with every comment made on these websites.

However, despite being an entry level e-cig it's not bad (nope, it's perfectly decent) but you can do better. Protank 2 is not doing much better, but we all learn from our mistakes.
The PT2 is a great tank and very useable design, let down by the absolutely terrible replacement heads made by Kanger and sold by Vendors. Start buying these on a regular basis and prepare to have lots that don't even last a day and it will cost you, even at £1.20 per head. I have over 100 used ones in my box....

I have a PT2, with a homemade coil/wick. It's nice. I also have 2 mini Nautilus which are better and cheaper to run using off-the-shelf coils, as they last longer... much longer.

Beware the rip-off companies and the fake reviews. Beware of some of the big names in the e-cig world... it's a jungle out there... some of the "top" vendors overcharge and don't give a sh** about customer service.

Always ask for help! :)

Have to admit, I bought it because:-
1. It wasn't a cig-a-like
2. Had rechargeable batteries/ refillable carts
3. It was within budget
4. It wasn't overly complicated
5. I liked the look of it! lol

Nautilus mini, huh? And that'll work ok with the regular 650 batteries I currently have?

I do have a question... Why is huge cloud/vape production such a big deal?

I agree with the nautilus mini recommendation, great tank for the price and it's low maintenance for sure. As far as cloud/vapor production, different strokes for different folks. Some find huge clouds more satisfying and others just like to see huge clouds. I like a good mix of both, mostly for the satisfaction it gives me to keep me away from cigarettes.
Do some research around the threads and use what works best for you. There are tons of products available and you can narrow things down pretty quickly.
Good luck and welcome!
