Hello,

My dad decided to quit smoking and told me to get him an ego twist (since he already tried a blu) and I kept telling it's better. I need help getting something that would satisfy two men over 40 who have been smoking for over 20 years, since I also want my uncle to quit.

My Question:

Since they do not live here, and we do not have any e-juice vendors where I live, just the typical e-cig prefilled brands, I need to buy them juice in bulk...let's say a total of over 500-1000ml so they'd stick to it if it works for them, until I can get them some more.

But I have no clue what to get them! My dad said just Tobacco and menthol flavors...and whatever I might think he'd like. I can not compare to heavy smokers myself since I was mostly a Shisha smoker (flavored pipe tobacco) and only smoked cigs regularly for 2 years and not very heavily. I know they both like cappuccino..., and my dad loves fruit juices and chocolate but I have not tried any fruity blends that taste natural.

I am considering the following:
Halo (considered by many the best tobacco/menthol flavors vendor, but the high PG makes it risky since I do not know if they'd turn out allergic to it)
HHV (Another one of the best tobacco flavors, Gandalf looks like the most popular flavor on these boards)
AVE (Mainly Boba or Gorilla since I've tried those, and while I don't love them, I find them "neutral" and easily appealing to most)
Vermillion River (Kentucky premium? I hear about that one a lot)
Ahlusion and RAWR generally have good reviews all around but I have to clue.

So here's what I need: Tobacco/Monthol flavors, good for someone who recently quit smoking, High VG content option (and still tasting good with high VG), and fast service, I need it to be here by the end of next week assuming I use 2 days shipping.

Please help...otherwise I'll end up just stacking on gandalf (does it taste good with over 40% VG?) and boba.

I just got the Ice Menthol from Halo and its a very good menthol tobacco flavor. Its a strong menthol, but its a bit sweet too, but not too much and the tobacco tastes top quality.

The best fruit flavor IMO is Delaware Vapors PeachBerry. Its a light, not too sweet flavor with REAL peach and strawberry flavors and good throat hit and great vapor even on an Ego! Not mediciney or fake tasting. Its my all day vape... The 30-60ml price is only 50 cents per ml too, so its not very expensive.

I got the tobacco flavor from Vermillion river called K-Max menthol, and its advertised as a tobacco menthol flavor, but there is absolutely NO tobacco flavor at all, and no real menthol flavor to speak of. It is really good though, but it tastes like a desert flavor thats rich, sweet, with nutty, buttery caramel flavor. Its great, but too rich and sweet for an all day vape. I dont know if the other Vermillion River flavors are that sweet, but this one is.

I got 6 RAWR flavors and didnt really like any of them, and it was the "best sellers" sampler pack too!

Yeah I've only been hearing good things about Halo, might grab a few of that. Too bad they do not have the best prices.

I've never heard of Delaware Vapors, I'll give them a look, my dad does love Peach.

You could try a handful of EC Blends tobacco flavors.

Maybe get a 30ml of a few staples... ry4, 555, 7 leaf etc, and throw in a few little sample bottles of other flavors they might like to give your loved ones some variety to try. and since we're talking $9 for 30ml and a perpetually active 20% coupon (10020 at checkout) on top of that, you really can't beat it.

VG/PG levels are customizable, and you can have extra flavor added if you intend to set them up with an easier to use and fill clearo/tank system that might mute it a little bit.

Orobas: that sounds excellent! Really affordable I can stock up for them, hopefully something there they will enjoy.

Amienichole: Sadly I am leaving to go home next weekend, no time to try samples :( I could take some home with me and order them online if they are liked, but USPS does not ship liquids internationally, only DHL and Fedex do as far as I know and very few vendors offer those.

Tobacco PLUS a bit of menthol I(not strong menthol), 100% VG, I will suggest Wisconsin Frost by Johnson Creek.
They also have a Domestic that is sort of plain and smooth. (not menthol)
IF you don't like an underlying "woodsy" flavor then don't get these. :)
If you want a little sweeter, then they have Tennessee Cured, both with PG or 100% VG.
shipping is very fast.

If you want CHEAP juice, and want an underlying tobacco flavor but with something extra...... then find a smooth mild tobacco flavored juice, and add a few drops of another flavored juice you like.......and make peach tobacco, or caramel tobacco, or coffee tobacco, etc.

OTHTER stuff people seem to like is copper creek and backwoods brew stuff.

I have Gandalf in all VG. I think the flavor is great. I know sometimes you can get a juice thats light on flavor but HHV juices have plenty of flavor. Also The Plume Room has some powerful flavors in VG. Ahlusion has Devil Dog which is reviewed on the Natural Tobacco thread but I'm not sure you can get it all VG yet? I would say Gandalf would be a good choice. When it steeps the choc flavors comes through nice and smooth. Great with a cup of coffee...

Well, I think Alien Visions is still on the move, so, no Boba's at the moment.

I have never tried them, but, I hear some good things about Blue Mist vaping. BlueMist Vaping Supplies You can get 180mls of juice for $30.

FYI...Goodejuice carries Ave juice...Bobas & Gorilla juice

Have you considered the DIY route? My mother is really not into it, but I get her 500ml of 18 mg Nic from wizards labs for about 22 bucks. She doesn't have to measure or dilute, I know I could get higher strength but she would have to mix, and that's too complicated. I got her some super concentrated flavoring from ecig express and vaping zone. She fills a 30 mil bottle, adds 30 drops and done. This lasts her a very long time. The Nuport from both suppliers is very good. Her doctors have been very supportive of her ecigs and glad she was able to kick her 40 year habit. Good luck with your family.

I've been considering Gandalf for the rave views, and I am leaning towards it, probably something around 50/50 PG/VG.

I know AVE is still closed, but they have at least 2 or 3 resellers who have boba and gorilla in stock.

Johnson Creek: Must look into that, have not heard about it before? seems to be mostly Tobacco flavors, is it better than Halo?

DIY: I doubt I can get my dad to DIY...he's a little too obsessive with his health (funny for someone who smoked for too long?) and he'd be too scared to mess around with mildly dangerous liquids.

ok I have decided upon the following:

Variety of Coffee flavors from Plume Room
Some Gorilla + Boba (maybe)
A lot of Gandalf from HHV + several other tobacco flavors (should I mentholate or not? all 50/50 btw)
A couple from Halo, not much since Halo is expensive and I never tried it.

Though I am considering ordering a big bottle from ECblends or from Mt Baker, since they're really cheap. What would you guys say is their best tobacco/menthol flavor for someone who just quit smoking, but is also appealing to most tastes and not too flamboyant? I'm only ordering Boba/Gorilla cause I find them "safe" for most tastes....I could skip them if ECBlends offers something similar.

I would suggest contacting ECBlend to ask them. I emailed a question to them and got a very fast response. They are very eager and willing to help. I have no experience with tobacco flavors as I decided to skip them since I was trying to get away from cigs. I did try the RY4 from ECBlend and the flavor was nice but it wasn't my cup of tea. I have since sworn off tobacco flavors. Not due to the ECBlend product mind you. I gave my sampler to a fellow vaper here at work and he loved it.

You could get menthol drops/crystals and have your old men add a few drops if they want to.

Hopefully they will like the coffee.

I found that in my experience i was sucking down too much juice, initially, trying to replicate the harshness of a cigarette, and making myself sicky from it.

Then the revelation came that the cigarette taste and harshness is no longer as appetizing as it was in the first month of vaping, so in that time i avoided tobacco juices for a while. I am NOW within the mindset that i can try and appreciate tobacco juices on their own virtues, rather than from a need to try and replicate a cigarette.

Also keep in mind that alot of new vapers will stop tasting a juice while their tastebuds are in the process of healing. So having some variety on hand can help get them over that hurdle.

So really, if you make an EC Blend order, get a few random off the wall 5mls. It may not seem appetizing to them NOW but it may turn out to be their favorite in the near future.

Best of luck to you and yours, OP.

I've felt the same way too, sucking too hard and trying to get harshness, which in less than a month I hate now and prefer high VG juices with smooth vapor. I'll consider the menthol drops thing, but getting a variety of samples sounds like a good idea, plus a big bottle of ECblends RY4 since it is cheap. That with a couple of Halo/HHV 30mls should do the job...I also have my own stash of Highbrows and Plume Room juices for them to try.

Vermillion River Kentucky premium- Kentucky Vanilla, for me is the best I have found, at this point. (For me) It is a very smooth inhale with a lite hint of honey and vanilla. Then on the exhale I get a smooth pipe rolled tobacco. Not the harsh chemical flavor of a cig.. The smooth sweet and fresh flavor of freshly rolled pipe tobacco.

I'd suggest RH Candy Cane from Vixen Vapors. After 40 years of smoking menthol there are very few flavors I can taste. This one is mostly cinnamon, maybe some peppermint (I can't tell for sure) and I added medium menthol. At 2 or 3x flavor it rocks! Sweet and cool with a nice TH. Just my 2 cents.
