It looks like you're are working on mine...

I actually might be, i'm working on a couple right now, but it's always hard for me to put real names with screen names. That one pictured actually shipped out this morning (i'll let her id herself is she's so inclined) I just thought it looked pretty shiny in the sun.

I haven't thought about powder coating them, though i have considered getting some anodized at some point.

I should mention something regarding polishing on the Super T's. I just hit them quick with the buffing wheel before they go out and consequently, anyone who gets a super t may see machining marks (made by the cutting tool in the turning process or by the end mill bit when making the fishmouth). If you have a buffing wheel and polishing compound, you can take these out, but it takes some time. Personally, i like the machined look, but others want them to shine like a mirror, so I leave the mirror look up to you.

Since i'm on it, i should also mention that i leave about a .010 thousandths clearance on the 510 atomizer to adapter mating surface. I do not do it for airlow, as i do cut a groove to allow airflow. I do it to allow it to accomodate various atomizers which have some variance in their center post protrusion. The center post is press fit in the adapter.

Ah, the sun called and wants its glow back....

I think I might try mine at the anodizing or possibly just leave it alone...

David, do you put any coating on the metal during finishing? Something that buffing will take off. I know there are lots of coatings that people put on their aluminum... I had a fuel injection system that was custom milled once and it was protected with some kind of coating... hey, I should find some pics of that.. you would die since its what you used to do... sort of. Let me look around and if I find it I will post since its your thread anyway...
