I would end up killing myself if I sold a car like that if I happened to own one!

I hope you don't look back, and cry a lot about it......

Nope, I was not that fond of the car... too fast for the old style suspension and light weight of the car... that engine was killer, but it was just too much for that particular car...

Besides, here is what I replaced it with...

You are making me reconsider my dream of owning one of the few daily driven e26's. I know a guy that has a full body and chassis. The numbers wouldn't match, but the heads would definitely turn. For now, an e28 fetish/addiction is an inexpensive methodone.

Not as EPIC IMO!!!! Yet, very nice, very nice!

Well I do know what you are saying tho. I have driven my fair share of old Mustang's 302 GT around 400Hp. I almost bought one from a friend, but I stopped myself; I knew that owning a car that could be going sideways from take off around 90Mph would lead me to lose my license....let alone my life!

Along with other death traps that were really way to fast to be driving around. THE CRAZIEST I ever road in was a 280zx with 396 if I recall correctly. The whole car would just shake, and it was too much for the little thing. Yet, it was EPIC FUN!

I hear ya...the 3 times i was pulled over by the police was never for going too fast, it was for some gearhead to check out the car... lol.. surprisingly the 356 got way more attention than the cobra. Imagine though, this car weighed in about 1800 lbs and had well over 500hp to the BACK WHEELS... you really had to work to keep the wheels from spinning in almost any gear.

Just so nobody misunderstands, both of these cars were replicas.. the Cobra was a Superformance and the 356 was an Intermeccanica.. both of these are not kit cars, they are built entirely at the factory, then you put your custom engine in them..

To use the word EPIC once more.. this is an EPIC thread theft.. sorry David...
