Wow, that's pretty darned ridiculous. I find it hard to believe that most americans have become so idiotic that the mere presence of the metric system makes them think it's a medical device. I'm also a bit offended that the author of that article makes the claim that nobody in the USA uses those markings. I use them all the time for mixing flavors.
