I suppose I am not the only one with a portable BP monitor. Could you, please, measure your BP when vaping and posti it? It might show the immediate effects of nicotine. And pulse, too. Pulse is influenced much faster.

Reference table:
------------------------------------------------------
Optimal value under 120 under 80
Normal value 120 – 129 80 - 84
Higner normal value 130 – 139 85 - 89

1. level hypertension 140 – 159 90 - 99
2. level hypertension 160 – 179 100 - 109
3. level hypertension over 180 over 110
Isolated systolic hypertension over 140 under 90
------------------------------------------------------
I will start with mine after several evening hours of vaping at the comp:

Left s/d (pulse) Right s/d (pulse)
121/72 (80) 131/79 (90)

If you remember to take a reading immediately before vaping and the immediately after, those two comparisons might be extremely valuable.

This will be more meaningful if you indicate how much nicotine is being used, that's one of the main things in vapour that would show short term physical changes.

I believe that is not that much important, because everybody has different body/health/ability to cope.

Anyway: My intake is moderate, somewhere in the vicinity of 12 mg/day. But I have not been healthy, I am using BP medication. Allegedly this treatment is for life :(

Surely the potency matters Frankie. If I vape 36mg juice I get palpitations and other overdose symptoms but I don't with 6 or 11mg juice.

If you want to compare blood pressure measurements with vaping nicotine then the amount of nicotine must be factored in.
OK. So, if there are any volunteers, please state your liquid potency.

BTW, Kate, have you ever measured your BP/pulse in such situation? Just to see how grave the situation is? I did and it seemingly only affected my pulse to 110+ beats per minute. I am even not sure whether it was not just a panic or anxiety attack - knowing this is high nic cart, knowing they can make me sick...

(I personally would not vape 36, but then I would not down a pint of gin, either. Not everybody has the constitution for high doses of stuff.)

I didn't measure my pulse or blood pressure and I won't be vaping 36mg stuff again, it's far too strong for me.

I'm trying to vape low to medium strength eliquid now, 6-11mg with one or two drops of high, 18mg now and then for a spike. I want to maintain a low steady dose as much as possible to get the benefits of nic without any of the possible circulatory and cholesterol problems that come with high doses.

131/88 73 frankie. I am hypertensive also and have a monitor. I take medication and this reading is before my medication and I have just been vaping. Strange, it is usually much higher in the morning. This is also one of my lower general readings. It peaks somewhere mid morning and (can be 170/99) by evening is near 125/85. Since being on ecigs, my pulse is usually much lower. Often around 59. They do say that most heart attacks occur before lunchtime. BP fluctuates all the time during the day.
