O.O what's up with that? Think it could have anything to do with my nicotine intake? It seems to happen randomly. It's kind of been freaking me out. The dilation is pretty significant. Just in case I'm soon to drop my nic levels to 8mg. I've been hovering around 18 to 24. Idk maybe I was overwhelming my body. I do tend to chain vape A LOT. I'm just starting to get concerned.

I have been getting headaches, but that's normal for me around this time of the year. I've always attributed them to allergies. A little heart burn too, but otherwise no real symptoms of nic overdose. Still I think dropping my levels would be for the best. I'll still have a bit of high concentration liquid around. But perhaps it shouldn't be my all day vape.

Perhaps you could consider WTA liquid? Chain vaping probably isn't the best for your health as you are getting so much nicotine. Just a thought.

I'd say definitley consult with a doctor!

But, I would not be so quick to ascribe your dilation and swelling to nicotine. It's not exacly clear to me what you mean when you say your vessels are "dilating and swelling", to be honest, but the fact remains that nicotine is a (temporary) vasoconstrictor, that is, it has precisely the opposite effect to that which you are apparently describing.

I may not be due to nicotine. It just concerns me a bit. I'll see a doctor if I have any other symptoms, but other than the vessel weirdness, I feel fine. I really hate doctors too.

But idk, I just thought it was really weird, and that maybe someone here might have an idea.

my blood vessels dilate all the time. its more common around this time of year because as temperatures rise veins and arteries move closer to the skin to expel heat. your veins will also dilate when doing any activity the involves muscular work as increased blood flow goes to the muscle. they can also dilate after eating a meal containing alot of carbohydrates as insulin shuttles glucose into the muscle tissue, which causes vasodilation in order to move nutrients around more efficiently and it will cause your veins to stay "popped" a few hours after because your muscles will swell due to increased water content stored along with glycogen.

also for the record nicotine is both a vasodilator and constrictor. the cause of this is a release of epinephrine which causes major arteries and veins to dilate around muscle tissue to increase blood flow, while it constricts blood vessels in and around the skin and around the top of your head to conserve blood and oxygen for muscle tissue use. this is the same response the body has in a fight or flight reaction to stress.
