Blow out the atty?

I've read on another thread that you need to blow out your atty before you start vaping on a new one. What exactly does that mean? My Joye 510 says it is "out for delivery" but here it is 5:00 PM and no mail, I think the USPS lied. I was hoping I could plug it in tonight and start fresh in the am, but now it will probably arrive while I am working delaying my vaping pleasure for yet another day. Which is probably a good thing, since I don't know what it means to blow out the atty...

anyone care to elaborate? Does it need to be cleaned first? I didn't do that with my Bliss... and maybe that is why it died?

Some attys come w/a primer fluid in them. Put the open end in your mouth and place a paper towel at the threaded end and blow through it good and hard. Prime the atty (drop fluid on the metal bridge) with about three drops of juice and cigar puff about three or four puffs. refill and vape away.

Just take it out of the plastic it comes in, hold the battery side (threaded side) into some paper towel or tissue. Put the other side to your lips and blow through it. You will get a bunch of clear liquid on the paper towel, do this until little or no liquid comes out, wipe down the outsides, and you are ready to go. You may get a little left behind and it may affect the taste of your first few puffs, but it will burn away pretty quick.

BTW For anyone with an external atty bridge, put the threaded end in your mouth and blow the external atty into a tissue.

Blowing it out will get out some of the primer. Then you can prime it with some juice (maybe 3 drops on the atty bridge?) and vape that without inhaling to try to get rid of the rest.
