I just got my Blu in the mail and busted out the package.

The Good:
All i can say is WOW it looks great! The case is sleek and almost soft, Its a perfect size and fits nice in a pocket. The Cigarettes are a little small but fit well in your hand and in the box. The packaging is top notch and looks very clean.

Now for the bad part...

THE SMELL! it smells like a cigarette! That was the one BIG thing i loved about E-Cigs was the lack of smell, and this just beats you in the face with smell.
THE TASTE! It tastes like a cigarette... why bad? It tastes like a pack you would buy for $1... As a (ex)Marlboro smoker i like the taste. But this tastes just nasty and cheap! maybe like a stale pack that i found under my car seat that sat for a few months in the heat and i decided to smoke.
THE VAPOR! Hit and miss. Every other drag is a dud
THE ATOMIZER! It wont always shut off!? I mean i put the thing on the table and it went off when i was typing.

This thing makes me want to cry! It looks so good! So very professional! This is totally something in a store i would of picked up at first glance. Ugh... It was like looking at a juicy steak and biting into it and it taste like rancid meat. Im really bummed right now lol i want to find a way to make this work. i'm sure i can modify this somehow lol

I dont want to send it back because i don't want to pay the postage to return it lol

Presentation: 10/10 (Looks perfect, and great size)
Taste: 4/10 (atleast it tasted like "a" cigarette, Just not a good one)
Vapor: 3/10 (if you could get vapor when you wanted it, would be nice)
Battery Life: 7/10 (average life, and the power pack makes it easy to charge)

Over all: 3/10

Not worth the cash unless you have no taste buds left and want to have that smoker smell again.

It's so weird to me how different some people's experiences are. I absolutely love my Blu, while my husband repeatedly threatens to throw his across the room. I'm okay with the prefilled carts. I haven't tried the tobacco ones... I'm a menthol smoker so those don't appeal to me in the least. And I haven't noticed any smell like that at all from it either. I do usually use e-liquid instead of the carts though. More variety, consistent vapor, better flavor.

My husband's Blu has been nothing but a headache to him with one thing or another going wrong with it. He's mostly just given up on it and we both ordered 510's last night from Cignot. I only wanted one so that I could try it out and I have fun collecting "gadgets".

I genuinely hope that you have been luck with whatever else you are/will be using!

Sorry to hear you're bummed, Gamer. I gotta agree with you generally, I got one before I got my 510 and haven't picked up the blu more than once or twice. When somehow both my batts need charging (forgetfulness) though, I do find the blu is handy to dip with and the flavor is pretty good. The carts are awful - don't wick, and they're microscopic. Plus, the auto batts are tricky to get just right so you're drawing juuust strongly enough to keep the LED on. They can produce pretty good vapor for their size though, if you just put on a new cart or, better, dip/drip.

i bought some e liquid from VKing and i think im going to try to use them with different liquids and forget the prefills. I like the design way to much and the case is perfect for me since im on the go ALL the time!

Sounds like a plan, you might give the blue foam filler a go too. Heard it works but haven't tried myself. Did try PTB and I can't get it to work quite right in that small a cart.

OK i just went flavor tasting.

Tobacco - Tastes like cheap smokes
Cherry - very strong taste, has an after taste. i cant put my finger on it, definitely a cherry undertone. But not very good
Java - not bad
Vivid Vanilla - is vividly something, sweet like vanilla...
Menthol - tastes like menthol... the only one that i like... too bad i dont like menthol...

ok forget this im filling these carts! Thank god i bought a ton of blue foam lol

If I remember correctly you can use a 510 atty with cart on a blu batt and have the best of both worlds The blu batt lasts longer than a 510 batt and the bigger atty/cart of the 510 would be better IMHO

True story, RIMP - the 510 atty's thread into the blue batt but the atty/cart combo from 510 are a larger diameter so it looks a little wonky

i tried some blue foam... but im nervous. I think the aty on the Blu cig gets ALOT hotter than the others i have. I mean the stuff is melting the aluminum cover that seals their prefills. plus its giving off a weird smell and taste... i think i will just cough up the shipping fee and try to get my money back

Huh, that's weird. My understanding is that the blu atty burns cooler that most...but that's just from posts, not actually testing. Some say the blu foam tastes a little funny and the fluval doesn't. I just do PTB with the 510 and no probs. Anyway, I agree with sending it back at this point too if you're not happy dipping/dripping with it. Let my landlady borrow mine and hoping to sell it to her for maybe $15 or $20 just so she can get started on e-cigs and I can recoup some of the costs. Hope your next model works out better - I'm thinking of getting Tornado batts and and cover soon...you considering any future purchases?

Interesting review man, I've noticed some things you said too (had my Blu pack for a week now) like the vapor production and atomizer not turning off, but my favorite thing about the Blu so far was the smell. The lack of it. For me at least I don't smell anything after vaping with it, and my friends who have tried it haven't either. Taste also I thought was alright, definitely not cigarette like.

The shortfalls of the product are obvious, but it does look DAMN good haha, and mostly for that reason I'm reluctant to return it. I think it can be modded into a respectable product, so I'm trying that route. Hopefully the return works out for you man.

I stuck in limbo right now. I havent realy had a smoke all day because i cant get the cherry flavor out of my mouth. Even now i still taste it after having pizza and a beer. Im hoping ill be able to wake in the morn and get a good drag from my old one. Im just... not in the mood to smoke... Well i am in the mood for a real cig but i dont have any around the house and its almost 2am and i dont wanna drive out

I have placed an order with V4L. My friends got some and they love them. I ordered their manual starter kit with 1 of each sample box (and a few other samples i wanted to try ex/redcow,whiski) im just hoping that it comes soon i put in for express shipping, hoping it arrives tomorrow! i got work and i haven't smoked anything for 48hrs... my mood hasn't been the best lol

So I'm totally a noob to E-cigs/vapor cigs or whatever. See, I don't even know what to call them. I've been a black n mild smoker for years, always inhaled them, so I like a nice throat burn. I've found with my Blu-Cigs that just came in 2 days ago, that I go through an entire cartridge after about 2 smoking sessions. Also, the vapor that comes from the BLU atomizer is not consistent. I'm really starting to think I shoulda done more research before I went with Blu.

Could you guys school me on some of the things I can do with my Blu e-cigs to make them more enjoyable. Unfortunately I cannot really afford to buy a whole new set up, at least not yet. I think the thing I'm most dissapointed with are the cartridges. Could I buy just a regular E-liquid from a site somewhere and somehow use the E-liquid with my blu cig? If so, how would I go about doing that? These cartridges are so lame and I'm afraid I smoke so darn much at a time that I'd end up spending double on the cartridges compared to what I spend on regular smokes. Any advice would be appreciated for this blu nub. Thanks!

I have a Blu. It's quite awful, but you can add liquid to the carts. I've used a pair of tweezers to pull out the little container and filler in the cart and then filled with juice. Doesn't take much. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long either.

You could try to send back the kit for a refund, but I've had terrible problems with customer service. It took them several weeks to send me my replacement batteries for the duds that came with my kit.

Hi philskill! There are somethings you can do and yes, ordering some liquid should be your first step (since there's not much point modding your carts if you've got nothing to vape in 'em). There are a ton of good suppliers in that section of the forum, but just a few are ms. t's bakery, tasty vapor, johnson creek, and rocky mountain vapor. Once you get the liquid, you can do any of the following:

1. take the polyfill out of the inner cart, rinse it and the rest of the cart out well. Let dry. Replace polyfill, add juice. Vape.

2. Do the above but substitute the polyfill for a cart mod, such as blue foam, fluval, or lipton pyramid teabag (PTB).

3. Forget the whole cart mess and just drip 2-3 drops directly on the bridge of your atomizer and use one of the black or white carts that came without an inner cart.

4. Get something like a contact lens case and do 3. except instead of dripping you just dip the bridge in juice you've dropped into one side of the case.

Any questions, ask...and if there's a particular method you're interested in, I can try to hunt down a link to a video for ya.
