I like the blu system, especially the carrying case that charges the batteries and carries the carts. I'm wondering how much customization I can do with the blu system, or if I should stick with buying only blu cartridges and batteries.

I've read the opinions of others who aren't fans of blu, and I'm not interesting in debating that. But I do want to experiment with other juices or carts, and wondering if I can without plunking down a chunk of change for a starter kit in a new system every time want to tinker around with my ecigs. (It would be nice if there was an industry standard for hardware!!)

I've done a little looking around online and saw some folks say it's possible to refill blu cartridges with custom juice. How would I do this? Do I just get a syringe and fill it from the hole I inhale from? Do I need a syringe with a needle to get it far down inside? Or am I better off just buying prefilled cartridges?

Also, can I buy batteries that fit in the blu charing pack and charge them with that, or could that result in exploding batteries?

You can Youtube videos to do most of this, but I think you would be happier in the long run if you bought a setup that is made for interchangeable juice. You will get better flavor and Blu e-cigs are not quite the industry standard. My advice is:
1.Figure out how much you would spend on Blus/Cigs a month
2.Buy a starter kit that is about that much with juice
3.Vape on!!

Ah, that's okay. I only spent 40 bucks on the starter kit. Could be worse. I'll look into other systems too. Thanks.
This will get you started in the right direction.
Starter kit.
Spare tanks , get at least 2 extra EVoD tanks and a few replacement heads.
Get some extra juice in small bottles until you find your taste.

Cheers....

I believe BLU has 510 threads...and it's battery runs at 3.7vdc

You can use nano clearomizers like these if you want to vape juice rather than have a sealed clearomizer
AltSmoke.com - Nano Clearomizer - 510 Thread

Just Google Nano clearomizer and get the best deal, make sure they are 510 threads
510nano.jpg

BLU's are like the "beginner" kits...for those that learned they really do suck have upgraded to the one listed above...completely controllable and refillable and serviceable...BLU...you use it, then chuck the cartridges and put on a new one...

I have like 15 links to "workhorse" starter kits...
http://www.vapingxtreme.com/eGo_650mAh_CE4_Clearomizer_Express_Starter_Kit.html
and get you a bottle of juice and you are off and running!

900mAh batteries for cheaper (but are not variable voltage)

Agreed though I found it cheaper to go piece by piece rather than a starter kit.

How much do you get for this?
That is done by this forum. Not me!

I do not have anything to do with any of these guys here/there and I'm only here for the ECF community. Help each other and be helped by others.....

Cheers.

Blu cigs are cheap pieces of crap. Went through tons of batteries and some cartridges just were empty right out of the start. I can say I started and ended my e-cig experience with them. A year later I was interested again and did my research. I decided the ego is the way to go. Have 2 ego c twists with various kanger tanks evods, t2s, t3s. I love my Joyetech evic/protank 2 set up as well. Been vaping again for a month and loving every bit of it. Been smoke free for 3 weeks!!

Not trying to be mean but highlight colors on white hurt the eyes try dark colors on white, if the background in the text area was black this would be fine.

I am not old or do I have eye problems so this is not the case and I work with computers a lot and look at a screen a lot so that ain't the problem either, this my be a problem for others just something to keep in mind.

If in fact you dont take everyones advice and stay with blucigs the carts that you CAN refill last maybe 1-2 refills if that...maybe more if you are lucky. If the top cap doesnt pop off you need to either peel back the black label or cut the rim with some type of blade, under the cap is a rubber ring that blocks off the filler from the airhole, you can then drop juice (like maybe 5-10 drops total) then put the ring and cap back.

As for using other carts/atomizers. If you use a different carto/atomizer on a blucig battery... dont expect to leave it off the charger long. 80mah for the original up to 200mah on their premium100 batteries.

They do however work on a standard ego/510 (which pretty much is the industry standard) battery as ive actually used one of my cousins when i was out of juice at a wedding reception. The funny part is that the blucig carts actually work/taste better and last longer on a regular ego battery (standard ego battery is 650mah).

The reason some people arent a fan of blucigs other than what was previously mentioned is the fact that you can literally get the same exact thing for a fraction of the price with more bells and whistles. Bells and whistles meaning more battery life, choice of cartridges, colors, endless flavors... oh and the fact that you are still giving money to a tobacco company.

My background is dark you can change your skin to multiple colors located on the very bottom left of any page. I find the original skin to be a little boring.

Not sure what you've got going on here but most people can't change their colors all willy nilly. Maybe it's a brwoser feature or plugin you've got?

EDIT: I'm a doof...it's down there in a lil unlabeled drop down box. Thanks for the tip.

What ohm are the standard blu cartos?

Heck...I'd get other cartos like some of the helpful people have said....

Refill em. If you like the kit, fine. :) Whatever works for you.

Maybe look for a different ohm (but close) if you want more oomph at the expense of even lower battery life.

Of all those stock cig-a-like systems in the mainstream stores...the ones with a 510 connector win out with me.

When you select a text color like that (the light green)...it changes for all backgrounds. Change back to the default forum style for a minute and see what it did.
If you don't want to be read, make it all green like that. It's up to you.

Otherwise, it's probably best to stay with the default text color.
