I've been several other ecigs, including a KR808D (love it!), an njoy (merely OK), and a 510 (what a PITA). I'd ordered a Blu ages ago and it finally came.

Wow, so much nicer than I'd expected given all the bad press.

After a short break-in period, it makes loads of vapor. It's nice and small. The charger case is fantastic. Too bad the carts have no flavor. Also, I somehow ordered the white batteries and wish I'd ordered the black. Whites look too much like analogs and make for inconvenient stealth vaping.

But all in all, not a half bad ecig, and to my mind, far better than the 510.

First post! I'm totally new to ecigarettes, still researching which ecig to purchase, kinda stuck between blu and the joye 510. I've noticed that, according to some people online, the blu cigs that have shipped in November onward (After blu dealt with the PCC problems) are better then the earlier ones. I've heard vapor production is much better. I would take this info with a grain of salt, and I'm gonna wait before i decide, but it does appear that people receiving the blu around the last week of November/early December are much happier with it then earlier adopters.

First of all welcome Ejmcdaniel! :D

I was also reading into Blu right AFTER I bought from SE (Smoking Everywhere) But I haven't used the 510 either so here's my opinion.

If you can deal with waiting for a long period of time for a starter kit, then go for Blu. If you want the kit now get the 510. I haven't heard any complaints about it. The only complaint I hear about blu is the shipping issues.

I waited over a month for mine and they never even shipped it. I called and canceled my order. I bought a 510 from Awesomevapor.com and bought a PCC from E-Smokeytreats.com and I'm loving it. I've had it for over a month now and haven't smoked a single analog. Went from 2 packs a day to nothing in one day. Buy the 510!

I got mine within about a week (back in September). Atty shipments took about3 weeks total, 2 weeks to arrive after they claimed to ship (could be USPS's fault, I dunno). My replacement PCC has not arrived yet either.

I understand running out of stock and being overwhelmed with orders, but most sites will not even sell products they don't have in stock. The slow shipping doesn't help matters either (shipping is free though, so can't complain too much). I don't really have a problem with the product, but I switched to 510s because they work at least as well and I'm not locked into a single supplier.

Hey there --

On the subject of vapor production, did you notice the instructions to give the cart a half twist when you first put it on? That seems to break the foil seal on the inside of the cart and improve production. I've read some people remove the foil but that doesn't work as well to me.

The carts seem to vary in vape production - the Java cart lasted almost all day, switched to the menthol, only got a few hits out of that, checked the foil and it was stuck to the atty. No real good vape even after I removed it though, until I dripped and then voila! tons of vape.

I'm thinking after the break in period i'll be 100% satisfied with Blu. All I know is, i'm 14 hours into quitting analogs and i haven't even wanted one.

The DH is already talking about getting one for himself. Says we can smoke in bed lol.

Good to hear!! I agree with the variances in vapor production statement. It was sort of odd that you mentioned the Java and Menthol difference as I had the same issue with that. It may not have much to do with the flavors per se but it was an odd coincidence. I was a big fan of the Java myself but I found that refilling was more economical than buying carts. Plus being a menthol fan I found that Blu, and pretty much every suppliers Menthol left a lot to be desired. I initially tried several brands and settled on Totally Wicked's Menthol. I used them for quite a while before switching to Juicy Liquid's Candycane and bought their Menthol drops to up the strength. If you like Menthol, I highly recommend the drops. they make the menthol effect way stronger with any juice you use.

I noticed the biggest difference in vapor production when I started refilling the carts myself. From the very first cartridge I refilled myself, it's almost doubled the vapor production and the cartridges last longer. Despite all the negative comments on the Blu, I have to say I actually do like it. Now that I've solved the vapor problem, the only complaint I have is the battery life. But, I've also heard that most if not all of the super minis have short battery life, plus the Blu has the nice little PCC which kinda offsets the battery life problem.

Why do you guys care that much about vapour? I mean, it's the taste that we want, isn't it? Do you want vapour just because it looks cool? :D

For me, it is taste. If my e-cig doesn't taste right, I'll have an anlog.

Vapor does look cool, though.
