I'm not getting a 510, so please don't suggest that I do. I'm in love with my Blu. Well, my Blu/Volcano Frankenstein concoction. :)

When the Blu kit arrived, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed. One of the batteries was dead on arrival. I plugged it in to charge and it made the PCC and the USB chargers squeal without charging at all. It has been sent back for replacement. However, the one battery that does work has been good to me. It does need frequent recharging, but with the PCC it's not a problem at all. I've not been able to kick the traditional cigarette habit just bet, but I do believe it's because I haven't found my "zone" just yet. Workin' on it. However, I used to be a pack a day smoker and have made 2 packs last an entire week. A shining moment was today when I took off some sweet basil and marjoram leaves to add to dinner. Doing so made the fragrance go throughout the entire house and this time, I noticed! That's never happened before. Totally dynamite. :)

The flavors are hit and miss for me. The Classic tobacco and Menthol flavors are fine. The others are meh. My least favorite is the Java Jolt. Just...bleh.

As for vapor production, like many others, I noticed it's not as much as what others consider desireable, but it doesn't bother me. Vapor production is not important to me. The nicotine fix, throat hit, and smoking motions are what I'm into. The throat hits are fabulous from brand new cartridges. I've learned to either shake the e-cig like a thermometer or use a paper clip to push the filler in for saturation. I'm still awaiting some liquid so hopefully that'll resolve that issue. I'm still considering the teabag mod as well.

I ordered a couple of batteries from Volcano, three atomizers, and a couple of cartridge packs because I was curious about the pineapple flavor. Yummy! Shipping was very fast from both parties, but I'll probably stick with Volcano from here on out due to pricing.

The size and weight are perfect. I can vape with no hands and shove the cig behind my ear in a moment's notice. I LOVE IT!

The Blu and Volcano types definitely have their place. If it's the look and feel of an analog that you need to stay off the smokes, then go for it. I have 801's, and a box mod, but at work, the Blu makes smoke breaks more like, well, smoke breaks. AND it keeps tons of people from making comments or asking questions when I just want to take a break in peace. I'm all for educating people, but I sometimes I just want a break.

Thanks, y'all.

firechick, the "smoke breaks" are another factor about the Blu I like. I'm not knocking anybody that vapes all day; I don't want to get into that habit though. The Blu keeps me from doing that. I can vape in intermissions just like traditional cigarettes, but the model itself keeps me from vaping all day. That's a plus since the goal is to knock down the nicotine to zero and eventually stop everything. It might not happen tomorrow or even next year, but for once I feel this is a step in the right direction without the pressures of letting myself or anybody else down.

I really like my Blu, too.
Enjoyed your excellent review. Keep up the good work and the good vaping.
You will so enjoy the zillion other choices for flavors with the topping off of juice rather than just relying on the standard filled carts.
I poke out that little cup with a paperclip, fill it, slide it back in and vape on.

I like the Blu too, in terms of the look and feel. It's nice for smoke breaks at work, and for restaurants and clubs where I don't want a long pen style device. In terms of performance, however, I find I am only getting consistently good vapes by constantly dripping on the atty wick. I'm going to get something else for at home and in office vaping, and keep the Blu for when I'm on the go.

I've got the blu's! :p

They are extremely sexy and are also what converted me in the first place, so for that I'm grateful. They will always have a place in my collection.

I agree with you about the pricing of volcano's, you get more for your dollar. I ordered some carts from them and recieved my order the very next day (I had no idea they were right here in Hawaii)!

Good luck with finding your zone and stick with it!

I was disappointed with my Blu until I started dripping on the Atty. Once I got some Juice it's been working alright... I had to get a couple of extra batteries and Atty's but it's been working alot better now.

I'm going to keep my Blu set for work smoke breaks and vape my PV's when they get here at the house or hotel rooms.

I received an email from JC stating they joined with blu to supply the juice for blu carts.

I sold all of my arsenal and now only have couple of disposables and gum for those nic fits when having a drink.

The whole New York thing makes me want to build a new ecig bunker LOL. Think I will try this kit once the new JC version carts are included if I like it will stock up.

Still no news on when this will happen. Anyone heard a definite date? I looked on both sites and nothing new yet. I hope to try carts with the VG from J creek.

Thanks for the review kinda skeptical but there seems to be some positive info for this brand here.

OH I looked for coupon codes in supplier forum etc... Master list anyone know of a discount code for blu? Thanks...

I just got a starter kist from them last friday and the the Classic Tobacco and Magnificent menthol had the JC logo on the box, the other 3 didnt so I am guessing they are just getting rid of the back stock and replacing it with JC as they go, I am hitting the Magnifice nt Menthol right now and it is awesome.

Blu is where i started, and I've come a long way as far as devices, but i still really enjoy the size and weight, for blu users looking to get great performance, I suggest the blue foam mod in conjunction with the straw mod. For those of you who are looking for good vapor, I suggest you cut your juices with VG, i'll mix anywhere from 50%-30% VG (i got it from walmart in the pharmacy area, a large bottle for 3 bucks) and it will produce warm clouds comparable to a 510 and will still produce decent flavor, (in my experience atleast). Also after you've gone through your stock carts, pop all of the white (actual) carts out from the black mouthpieces, I've occasionally found larger/taller white carts inside and I prefer to reuse them since they hold more liquid.

I don't really take my blu out anymore since one of my batteries died and I really need 2 batteries to make this device replace cigs, but when I'm cooking at home the blu has a special place right on my ear =P
