i started with the No. 7 Choice Stealth model, was completely excited until I started running our of carts and learned a little more, so I bought the Blu.

the blu was great for the portability with the charging case, but i was constantly charging and switching carts which was annoying and if i left the blu in my pocket and walked around the battery would keep turning on and started heating up my pocket right away and burning all my juice

i started to realize that I was vaping all day so i wanted something bigger

bought an MV902 and haven't touched the No.7 of Blu since I got it

still the same problems with cart and modding them, so i just started dripping, but having an automatic & a manual battery is the way to go

my two cents

I bought a Blu starter kit in my initial e-cig experimentation stage. I mainly use the eGo now, but I still like the Blu cigs for certain reasons. Their cartridges can be refilled with better e-liquids or they can be used for dripping, which produces better vapor. They’re cute, handy, and easy to carry around and recharge in the battery pack when I'm not at home. The quality control of Blu stuff seems pretty good, too. I like them as a back-up.

Newbie here. I have already purchased and have been using the No.7 for a few weeks now. I was thinking of purchasing the blu starter kit because it comes with a slew of other stuff for about the same amount of money. A friend of mine liked my No.7 so I was going to give it to him after I purchased the blu.
Has anyone heard any bad things about the blu unit?
I own a Blu, and am actually very happy with it. I have no problem getting consistently good vapor production and throat hit. I also like the small and light feel of it.

The key to getting the most out of the Blu is to fill your own carts, and take long slow drags.

Try the following and let me know how it works:

  1. Order a flavor of e-juice you think you will enjoy from a trusted vendor (check out the reviews on this forum).
  2. Order some pre-cut blue foam from a trusted vendor (check out the reviews on this forum).
  3. Take apart a Blu cart, toss the filler material and wash both the inner cup and outer sleave.
  4. Dry well.
  5. Fill the inner cup with your e-juice to about 3/4 full.
  6. Trim off a tiny sliver from the top and side of a blue foam piece.
  7. Fold the blue foam in half, then take a good set of tweezers and gently insert it into the juice filled inner cup, making sure to keep it flush with the top.
  8. Using tweezers, turn the cup upside down for a few seconds (don't worry, the juice won't drain out).
  9. Turn the cup back over and add a tiny drop of juice to the top of the blue foam to make sure it is moist.
  10. Put the cart back together and vape to your hearts content, taking long, slow, gentle drags.
The only problem you might encounter is if you get the blue foam too wet, it may flood the atty. If this happens, dab the foam with a paper towel and try again. It takes a little time to get it all just right, but once you do, I think you will really see a difference.:)

Some interesting facts about the blu:

The blu atty will work lovely with the EGO battery (or Riva). This solves the 'weeny batty life" issue.
You can buy blank carts from Volcano (which also works w/blu, ego, etc) and then fill with your own liquid.
If any juice is low on vapor, I try adding a drop of VG or a little Vape Wizard (from flavor art) and the vapor production improves tremendously.
You can also put a 'driptip' on the blu atty (attached to your higher powered mod) and you've got a really nicely powered, hardy little set-up.
The blu atty is the SAME thing as the 306 atty. The 306 is now being touted as one of the better ones for the high volt mods. My favorite combo is the blu/volcano/306 with my Ego, but that's just IMHO.
AND the blu/volcano atty is almost half the price of the 306.

I have tried multiple attys (510, 808, 801 (and all its subpartners), 901, cartos, etc) and I have YET to kill any of my little attys. I don't know what it is, but they are just tough little buggers.

I do not use the blu soley. I do use many other combinations and models, but I do believe there are uses and places for all of the models and parts.

Okay so here is my :2c:

I own both the blu and a 510 and I love them both, my only complaint with the blu is that the batteries are super sensitive, I refill my carts with my own juice and yes make sure you pull that foil off like someone suggested.. I don't recommend the blu for heavy smokers though because then you probably won't be satisfied, I use my blu at home and bring my 510 out with me with the manual batteries.. Other then the one complaint if it wasn't for my blu I wouldn't have quit smoking real cigs to begin with..
