As I've said in the past, the true measure of customer service is not the little notes or freebies that get tossed in with an order. The true measure is how a company handles glitches or makes things right when a mistake happens.
I ordered from Rob the other day and for some reason the transaction glitched and I was charged for the product and he didn't receive the order. This is a fairly common problem with credit card processors and it's really hard to blame anyone because of the nature of the Internet.
I contacted Rob today and he made it right within 5 minutes. No complaints, no excuses no chain of emails explaining myself over and over. This is what customer service is truly about.
