BlueMist Vaping heavy handed with the Vinegar?

I made a rookie mistake and ordered a big bottle of Robacco Caramel without sampling it first based of descriptions and reviews. Argghh all I can taste and smell when I vape it is apple cider vinegar. The vinegar smell literally overpowers anything else that may be in it. Hi res, low res low or high voltage dripping or tanks it just vinegar. Is this what it is supposed to take like or did I just get a bad batch? Generally everything I see about BlueMist is very positive so I'm a bit stumped.

i'm going to move this with a redirect to negative reviews. This will allow the supplier to respond (they are not allowed to post in the new members forum)

@edwin you'll need to get a couple more posts before you will be able to post in this thread once it is moved. so hang out in the new members forum and say hello to a couple of people while you're waiting :)

It's impossible to say for sure what elements you're tasting, but it isn't vinegar. We don't use vinegar, or anything like it, in any of our flavors. I know it's suddenly become trendy to add all sorts of things to swing the ph of e-liquid, but I don't believe in it.

What you're likely to be tasting is merely fresh liquid. We make our liquids only after you order, and many of our flavorants (including several that make up Robacco Caramel) are alcohol based extracts. They need some time to blend to taste. This will differ for each person, as some prefer them almost right away, some prefer to let them age weeks or months. Given that there are as many opinions on the subject as there are people, we opt to go for fresh so that you have full control over how long your liquid steeps. The first whiff off the bottle may show some of the alcohol character, but it fades pretty quick in any liquid.

I'm also concerned that you may be characterizing the nicotine flavor as "vinegar", as you did order 32mg/ml... and you appear to be a new user, if your join date on ECF is any indication.
Good, fresh nicotine, in it's most pure form, has a single sharp note to it which most closely resembles black pepper. This will meld and fade with many other flavors, and in fact works well in blending with most tobaccos, but will sometimes still stands out in other flavors, and to users who aren't used to such a high concentration.
We blend down all of our own liquid bases, starting with 99%+ pure nicotine. From the day that arrives to us, to the day we empty the bottle, it's crystal clear and with no skunky flavors. We store it in airtight vessels at subzero temperature to slow it's oxidation to a crawl. Again, this allows us to ensure that the only thing you taste in the nicotine base, is the nicotine, with a single, sharp, true note.
If you're used to more heavily oxidized liquids, like you'd find in pre-filled cartridges, you may not have experienced that before, especially in such a high concentration.

ETA: Thank you, oldsoldier, for giving me an opportunity to respond to this thread.

Raneon thanks for the reply, I wish this hadn't ended up in the negative review forum. It wasn't my intention at to slam or disparage you guys.

It just may be this juice isn't for me and I should have sampled it first, the combination of flavors and everything I had heard about BM just sounded to good for me to pass up, not the least of which was the price for the humongo bottle.

I will say you sent me a sampler of jamacian rum in VG that was amazing if I could get it to wick in the tubetank (4ml tank with a 3 ohm carty from Volcano Ecigs) it would be an all day vape for me. The Jamacian Rum is without a doubt is the best balance of flavor and vapor I've ever experienced dripping.

Anyway, I'm sorry if that read like an attack or an aspersion I was just overwhelmed by the "apple ciderish vinegar/acetic acid" smell I get from it which is probably just a component of the high nic levels. I will order from you guys again soon!
Aloha,
Edwin

Edwin, as a general rule posts like yours get moved to the reviews section so that the supplier gets a chance to address you without getting themselves in a bind with my staff for posting in areas they are not allowed to post. In this context it actually shows the vendors in a positive light because they have an opportunity to answer. Unanswered posts of this nature in the new members forum can often turn into a fanboi love/hatefest that spirals out of control.

A well handled response in the negative reviews forum says a lot more about the true nature of a supplier than a hundred fanboi posts in the positive reviews. Call me jaded but that is my opinion and I've mandated it as forum policy to give our suppliers a fair shake.
