Boge 2.7 ohm

Just curious if anyone else has ruined many Boge 2.7 ohm cartos soon after the initial fill? I've ruined 2 of them this week by not letting the carto sit long enough after the initial fill and also by not topping it up soon enough in the first hour of use. I'm still getting use to the vv vaping and a few cartos paid the price vaping @ 4.5 by the way.

In my experience, cartos are nearly as unique as people...some work a long time with little hastle and very well. Some just plain dont want to work, or do so very poorly even when you spend alot of time trying to get them going.

Fill up the night before if you can and look for a video on "Taryn Spin" which will prime the cart for you. "Thermometer shake" the carto from the mouth end after filling can help as well.

what I do for carto... is a bit extreme..
Even with brand new cartos, I boil them for 15+ minutes.
because I want to minimize unknown stuff that's in carto's filler.

After boiling, blow water out by blowing into mouth end.
then dry them for an hour.
then push paper tissue into mouth end, and leave the carto for 24 hours
with battery end higher than mouth end so that water can flow down to paper tissue.
(that will draw out so much water).

then fill with e-juice using condom method and leave it for a min or two.
and vape (finally... )
worked quite well for me with cartos so far.

You're right, linuxer. That's pretty extreme. It probably reduces the life of the carto a bit as well.
But whatever helps you sleep better at night....

To the OP, the condom method is the absolute best filling method, IMO.
If you're burning them out, it's probably not because you didn't let them sit long enough.
It's probably because they were insufficiently filled in the first place.

When I fill, using the condom method, I never need to let them sit for more than a minute or two, even with 80-100% VG juice and even though I fill them from the "mouth" side. Usually, it takes 1-1/2 "condoms" filled 3/4 of the way each, to get a complete fill

The Taryn spin isn't even necessary, although the "thermometer shake" helps a little.

I save the Taryn spin for those rare times I want to rescue juice from a just filled carto that suddenly burned out.

I've been rocking boge 2.7's from liberty flight exclusivly. punch 2 holes myself, and put in a tank.

never had a problem with vaping right away. but I also put about 10 drops inside the carto to begin with, and suck on the completed tank a bit before attaching to my LT, till I see a few air bubbles. This means the coils are getting wet before I actually vape.

Um. I don't understand the "condom" thing. Condoms are big and can hold a gallon of liquid easy.
Please explain.

Get a rotary tool and you will never punch again..you usually can pull off the tubes and slot them or you could just grind a small hole. I got this Wel-Bilt Rotary Tool Kit — 131-Pc. for $39.99 this week it seems pretty decent for the price..I'm sure it won't last forever but for the price it seems nice and does a nice job.

Johnny, they aren't talking about real condoms. They are talking about the little rubber things that come with the cartos. Watch the vid freelinuxer posted to see the method in action.

First fill is very resistant to absorbing liquid properly. I always syringe fill the first time then by dripping every few hours after that. Getting the first fill right is the key to extending carto life.
