Yes it does work better. There are two types, standard and low res. LR tends vape warmer, bring out more flavor, but sucking more power from your battery. I prefer LR than standard one.
Thanks for the help! So ive been looking at a website for the boge carts. They have two carts that say LR one at 1.3 and 2.0. what ohm is considered a LR for my KR808D-1 battery? Thanks again for your help!

The 2.8 - 3 ohm are safe standard resistance stuff. 2 - 2.2 ohms is getting a bit low, I'm not sure how good they would be with a standard 280 mAh 808 battery. It depends on the current capacity rating of the batteries and the surrounding electronics in the PV. Otherwise, the combination of around 3.8V battery and 2.1 ohm resistance is nice, near 7 watts, should be pleasant. I tend to be around 8W with my mod most of the time.

Yeah, the 2.0 is already pushing it for a small battery, probably ok, but borderline. However, if he is seeing a 1.3 ohm 808d carto from boge in the lineup, that can't be right. That sounds like a smoketech dual coil carto, and at 1.3 it's probably going to destroy the battery, or vape the battery dry in under 30 minutes.

You are not supposed to use LR for slim ecigs. LR is for batteries 450mah or larger. You can go down to about 2.5

I recommend the Vapor4Life WOW carts over the standard res Boges for KR8. And many people like the Bloog cartos.

I love standard res Boge on 510 but just was not happy with them on KR8 - I like the hotter Vapor4Life WOW cartos.

Oh snap. I bought a pack of 2.0 ohms boge carts. You think that would be ok for the 5v usb pass through? Or should I email them and switch to 2.8?

2.0 ohms at 5volts is going to kick you right in the back of your throat, but should be ok. Some people here would probably consider it wimpy. I would not be one of them.

Make sure to use a nice thin, fast wicking juice. 2ohms at 5 volts is going to get that carto hot very quickly, if doesn't stay wet.

That said, you might like it as a change of pace, or for juices that didn't normally have much bite.

I've used as low as 1.6 ohms on a 5v, and with the right juice it can be impressive. Just make sure that carto is nice and soaked (not leaking though).
