Be careful with those things... They will kill your battery, but boy is it a beautiful death ;)

I managed to get around 3 months out of some regular SS batteries @ 2Ω. WAAAY longer than I was expecting. Running them on my PB now :p No problems as of yet, fingers crossed.

I will have 2.5 4081's on the way soon. Much safer then the LR's!

LOL, a beautiful death it is. I know that you are known for killing carto but did not know that you're a battery killer too, LOL. Thanks for the warning. Mine are still kicking after 5 months (Hendu) although I was using some regular SS carto when you were OOS. But I can't wait to try the 2.5 ohms. Hopefully, they will not dimish the TH which I really enjoy from the 2.0.

I saw those 2.5's on the website so I tried some along with my usual 2.0s. Will they make much difference ya think in battery life on the Ego?

I think not. Maybe in theory, but in practice, you probably wont notice much of a difference, if any.

TH should still be pretty decent. Stepping up the Nic helps though.

Man, you guys are brave... I use my 2.0s on my regular SS... the ones I don't care about as much. My Hendus and my PBs are... well, can't complain about the PBs, since I won two kits. No money would be lost. :p <--- is it just me or is that a new emoticon?

I'm pretty much always on my ego/riva type stuffeths. I need the 2.0!!! I'm going through batteries at an insane rate as it is. Might help if I would rotate charging them a little better. Jeez.

Trust me, I would not have been that brave if they are my only PV. I have been collecting them like they are going out of style. In addition to my Rivas and egos, I also have Provari, Darwin and Reo. But I always goto my trusty SS when I need handsfree vaping (don't ask). And ever since I tried the Boge 2.0 on it, I can't go back. I still have boxes of SS carto for backup. One of these days, I am going to put them up for sale on the classy. I think. I am such a hoarder. LOL.

I have sooooo many SS cartos collecting dust! I prefer the Boges too. Once you try it there's no going back! :)

SS cartomizers are very nice on higher voltages. Try them on your ProVari or Darwin; 4.0-4.5v should do it.

Yes, they are. I kept all my empty ones for refill. They measured at 3.8 Ohm on my Darwin and it's perfect at 4.7 volt.

LOL, I can't stop! I always get tempted by new toys. :vapor:

Forgive my "noob-ness" here Katya, but what are SS cartomizers?? Also, I imagine you're an extremely experienced vaper, so I have to ask, have you tried any cartomizers from ikenvape? I've heard they are better than the Boge's?? Thanks :)

Ahem... we really shouldn't be discussing other vendors' wares here... But since the cat is out of the bag already... Ty, Abe, please forgive us. Just this one time.

SmokeStik. It's a rather expensive supermini model 4081. They have their own forum here on ECF. Their cartos are small, very nicely made and they sport a horizontal coil at the base (as opposed to the vertical coil of the Boges). The problem with SS cartos is their resistance--as high as 3.8Ω +. If you're familiar with the Ohm's Law, you'll realize that they can't possibly provide a satisfying vape on 3.4v batteries. [Power (Wattage) = Voltage squared divided by Resistance; 3 Watts of power will not make you happy. I like 5-6 Watts, Ty likes 12. :D] 'Nuff said.

Also, I imagine you're an extremely experienced vaper, so I have to ask, have you tried any cartomizers from ikenvape? I've heard they are better than the Boge's?? Thanks :)

Every single one of them.

My favorite IkenVape cartos, Premium Platinum 2.5Ω, are made by Boge. ;) You already own and like them...

If you have more general questions about cartomizers, send me a PM or visit the "Burning Cartomizers" thread in the general forum.

Happy vaping.
