So, after trying a few Boge cartos in Mom and Pop tanks and loving them I bought 10 more single coil, 2 ohm cartos about a month ago. Punched 2 holes with a round carto punch in each (probably a bit smaller than 1/16", 1.5 mm dia each), filled them with condom method and all performed very well at first. Loved the flavor/vapor production/taste until a few of them started flooding after about 3 or 4, 2 ml tanks were very successfully vaped through them. I don't get it. 3 or 4 tanks are good and then they flood? What am I missing here?

Juices involved so far are MadVapes 70/30 PG/VG (I think) Candy Cane and Strawberry Daquiri. Put a few other juices through these cartos/tanks and they have lasted a lot longer.

Any ideas?

I use Boge 3Ω in my tanks with 1-1mm(approx) hole. I mix my juice at 70/30, and the cartos last about 1 month running about 2ml a day thru each of them. Some juices will clog up cartos faster than others, which I gather you have discovered. Generally I think, the darker juices clog up cartos faster, at least that has been my experience.

I haven't tried any Boge cartos since I last ordered a bunch before Bogegate. I've just been afraid to take a chance. I have read that the bad ones had no covering on the wire on the carto. Has that changed? Do you see a covering on the wire? I switched to Smoktech cartos for my tanks, and I like them. But if Boge has truly fixed the problem, I'd gladly go back to them.

There was an issue with filler in Boge cartos up until very recently. It was dubbed Bogegate lol Anyway, I just got some last week from a new shipment here and have had no issues

Boge Mix'n'Match (5 Box)

Good luck!

the whole carto in a tank principle is based on one thing..... no way for outside air to get inside the tank, besides through the carto. if theres a way for air to get into the tank besides through the carto, the juice is going to run out of the filler at a faster rate than getting vaped out. i found all this out with my first plastic tank with a side fill hole. i knew sooner or later that the threads in the plastic tank were going to strip out. what i didnt know was that they'd let air leak in before it stripped out. i flooded probably 10-15 cartos before i figured all this out. i bought the exact same tank except no side fill hole, and haven't had a flooding issue since. :D

salemgold, I've read about BogeGate. It seems to me my issue is a different problem, but who knows, this might just be it. I ordered the Boge mix and match 5 box from SureVapes a few days ago so your information on their current performance is very much appreciated :2cool:

I got the SS XL because I knew that they were a new shipment.

I only recently went back to Boges after more than a year of using DCs. It looks to me like there might be a black coating on the wire but I am going to pull the wire from an old one just to be sure and will report back.

ETA- I pulled the insides out of one and yes, there is a black coating on the top half of the wire. I hope that helps.

Thank you very much Dingo, I never thought that might be an issue. I'll look into it.
