U mean stainless steel finish ? If so no i have never got a metallic taste out of any of them and iv vaped through tons of em . I actually prefer the stainless . For some reason i feel it vapes a slight bit better then the black ,most likely mental though . I also like it because i can use it in a tank without having to pull the black label off and scrub with goo gone .

Maybe a drip tip will help you . Iv only used my boges with drip tips so maybe your getting a metallic taste because your using the soft cap with your mouth on the carto .

No funny metallic taste here either and I have a bunch of Boge. Did you contact the vendor you bought them from and ask if anyone else noticed this? It could also be a sensitivity to the metal that you're experiencing. The only time I've ever had a funny taste came from some echo-e dual coils. I sent a few to a friend to try and she couldn't taste what I was. I resolved the problem by running some vodka through them to remove the funkiness. Worked like a charm. If you have only 1-2 boxes, try it with a couple and see if it changes for you or like I already said, contact the vendor. If you try the vodka/everclear, sling them as dry as possible and let sit to dry completely for a few days before using.

I've gotten metallic taste from a Boge 2.0, but it was my own danged fault.

I prepared it for use in a tank by filing a slot in it with a needle file. It cut the slot quick and easy but I could taste both the metal filings that fell into the carto and the oil that was still on the file even after I cleaned it (before starting the cut).

...never do that again.

Well, I tried the carto from my older SmokTech 510 which is not a Boge and it's in black. Same metal taste, when that very same cartridge on the SmokTech tastes fine. So that only leaves the Riva battery as the common factor. How is this possible? What am I doing wrong or over looking?

I did order a drip tip to try, seems to be a good thing to use regardless. Dang, there is a pretty steep learning curve to get past the novice idiot stage with e-cigs.

I got my drip tip and this seems to have resolved most of the taste, good call. When I switched cartomizers, there must have been a leftover metal flavor. The drip tips are really a nice improvement. I don't want to use my devices without them now, so I will have place yet another order. Thanks for the tip.

glad it worked out . Drip tips make a world of difference . Not only do you not have to have your lips on a hot metal carto but you also dont get juice in your mouth or burning from being to close to the coil .

Yes, I've been getting tired of and concerned with the juice getting on my lips.
