I found a post on boil cleaning your cartomizers. I have a regular ol 510 carto that i had filled with a flavor that i wasnt a huge fan of so i tried boiling it out. It worked great it seemed i couldnt smell any of the old liquid and the color of the filler was white again so i put it thread side up on a tissue over night to dry. About 18 hours later i blew through the thread end and no water came out, no gurgling noise so i filled it up with new liquid. When i try to vape it i hear a loud sizzling noise and get no vapor at all, but i do get a mild flavor from the new liquid. Did i not give it enough time to dry or did i kill it with the boiling?

Sounds like they are still retaining some moisture. There are several threads her about folks drying them in the oven. Bioling and drying in the oven cause the packing to shrink on the ones I tried.
I just soak them in isopropyl alcohol (90% is the best) for 30 min. or so, blow gently through them until I see no more alcohol, let them sit upright for a couple of hours and they're good to go.

I agree with oldjoe on this one. I have never had an issue damaging a carto boiling it. Drying times will vary and I have never used an oven before, though a lot of vapers do. I personally boil them out and use a big syringe mod with that little ergonomic rubber piece at the end of it to hold the carto in place and gently blow the moisture out and let stand up for a day to three or five days, (usually have a big stash of cartos.) Normally they're good to go after sitting out over night but it's just something you will have to play with and develop what works for you the best.
