Hi All! Just jumped into getting my first mod by getting a chrome bolt from CCV. Everything is great, except I'm not getting much vapor. Much less than what I get on my Ego Twist at 4.4v which is what I usually vape at. I know I can buy a kick, but they are more expensive than the Bolt was by itself! Any suggestions for easy cheap ways to get this thing to give me more vapor? It's pretty weak and so far I'm disappointed in it, I can only see it as a backup device for now. I've used lower resistance cartomizers also and still don't seem to be getting much out of it. Does an extension with a bigger battery give you more vapor? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jeremy

Could be the switch is faulty. I had mine act up like that. The 18650 sized batteries do seem to give more OOOOMPH for longer, but there really shouldn't be too much difference between them and the 18500. Since you say you've tried the lower ohm with it...I really do think it might be the switch. I got a replacement (was under warranty) and mine is working much better now.

It's a no comparison to your twist on 4.4 volts since the Bolt is fixed voltage and will throw only 4.2 to 3.3, depending on the battery's charge. You need a low resistance atty with that on the range of 1.5-1.8 ohms. 1.5 ohms would be best.

I must comment here that I prefer 2ohm single coil cartomizer-tanks or 2ohm EMSCC on my Bolts...in fact, on all my APVs. For me, anything below 2ohm makes my juice taste too harsh and "off" and the vape is too warm for a menthol. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to vaping. I've used 2.5ohm single coils with some success on my mechanicals and the Bolt, also. But the slightly lower ohm is a bit better.

The batter on an unregulated device does go down from around 4.1 to around 3.4 (for an effective vape) but with the large size batteries it takes quite a long time. I don't really notice to tell the truth...it's so spread out and takes so long.
