*sigh*

My bolt began to fail about 2 weeks ago; sometimes she would fire, sometimes she wouldn't. I found a couple of useful DIY repair threads here and ordered a bunch of parts from madvapes; I figured it was the switch causing problems.

I have since rewired the darn thing TWICE, using a new horn-style switch and 510 connector each time; after each rewire, I tested using 2 different batteries and 2 different cartos. NOTHING.

The spring is intact and secure, the batteries and cartos are good, the connections are solid and secure; I am using good 22 AWG wire and following the (very helpful) guide posted here... I am royally vexed. Don't have a camera or I would post pics.

Has anyone run into a similar problem? Any suggestions? My KGO's still work so I am not totally SOL, but I would dearly love to get this rig working again.

There's not really that much to it to go wrong. Solder a wire from the center pin of the connector to one of the switch terminals and another wire from the other switch terminal to the positive battery contact.

If that's how you've wired it make sure you don't have any bare wire touching the body and test your connections with a ohm meter, also test to make sure the atty connector isn't shorting and you can test the switch by touching each terminal with the leads from the meter and pushing the button.

If everything checks out it should be working and if not you can get plenty of help in the modders section or send me a pm and we'll go through it step by step.
