I've listened to two Iron Druid books. They are fun and the dog character is great.

No doubt I found myself literally laughing out loud a few times when reading those. And I did get the first one as an audio book just to see how to pronounce most of those names and places and it was excellent.

I would also second the Dark Tower Series, Dumas and anything by Huxley is great.

I ordered The Curse of Chalion i'll give it a try next week.

i think HHGTTG is over rated, personally. His off topic tangents about whales aren't as funny as he thinks he is.

However you get cool points for being a rollins fan.

Currently reading the christopher pike "the last vampire" series. I read it when i was what, 10? and was feeling nostalgic. I find it cheesy and very mary sue nowadays, though. I also couldn't stand interview when i reread it, either.

I like long series:
Malazan Book of the Fallen - Steven Erikson
The Belgariad + The Mallorean - David Eddings
Outlander - Diana Gabaldon
Anything and everything by Stephen R. Donaldson, ever.

Take a Thief by Mercedes Lackey. An easy and very interesting read. A real page turner :)

I totally love Mercedes Lackey. She is just wonderful when it comes to great fantasy.

If you liked Take a Thief try The Last Herald Mage Trilogy

Magic's Pawn (1989)
Magic's Promise (1990)
Magic's Price (1990)

It's so good.

I just finished 'Ready Player One.' If you're a fan of 80s video games and pop culture I think you'll enjoy it. It's about a video game creator who wills his fortune to anyone who beats a game he's created. It's set in the future.

Heh. There was a great Community episode that was kind of like that. They turned the entire cast into a 2D Mario-type adventure game. I'm not sure what's going to happen with the tv show, but every once in a while they hit one out of the ballpark.

Just finished reading The Power of Habit - Charles Duhigg and am currently starting on Thinking Fast & Slow - Daniel Kahneman.

I got through the Hunger Games Trilogy despite losing interest about halfway through the last book. I finished the five Game of Thrones books (A Song About Ice and Fire) in about the same time, about 3-4 weeks. It was $25 for the set and weirdly addictive in a way that Hunger Games wasn't.

I've been reading them on a Kobo Touch. The Kindle has it's own proprietary format not used by other e-book readers, so I tend to avoid Kindle content unless it's not available anywhere else. I am excited about rumours that Kindle will be coming out with a colour e-ink reader later this year. I've got an iPad for reading also, but you can't beat the battery life of an e-Ink reader.
