You IT guys p**s me off! I'll have to get back into IT just to make sure you get caught or to give you some extra work, LOL!
Why did I find this page AFTER work, on a FRIDAY NIGHT?? I've been so busy at work lately I feel like a donkey filling in for a dozen bulls... I even thought about making a hat with a stick to hold a carrot in front of my face while pulling my tool case and my boss' wife found the idea hilarious. Good thing I can trust her not to tell her husband!
MY advantage is that I am the master of my schedule and no one checks after me, so I schedule the calls that should end early, but not quite in driving times to get back to the office on Fridays. That way, I am free early when those further-than-usual clients need service.
Last week I was driving a Dodge Charger because I didn't think driving a VW Beetle seemed very professional . I don't get perks on any regular or foreseeable basis, but my perks are perks nonetheless. (Yea, service guys can brag too sometimes
Did I mention Miami and Los Angeles, when the boss let me take the plane back on Sunday instead of Friday and the rental agency in LA let me pick my own car upgrade? Don't let that fool you, however, working in front of a panel and plucking numbered wires is a PITA and will drain you nonetheless...
