I need a new pass-through and have no idea what kind to get. I did have just a plain KR808 auto but it died on me fairly quickly. Any suggestions?

I've always used 510 compatible units - Joye 510s and eGo. I've never used KR808s at all, so if you want to stick with those, I don't have any advice for you. Are you specifically wanting a pass-through (usb unit), or just a new PV unit?

i have found that autos give more problems than they are worth!try a manual one this time i bet you will have better luck
Yep - I tend to agree with manual > auto for batteries (not a pass-through user myself).
do auto pass troughs have a vent hole live a auto battery? every thing iv ever got was manual
Any suggestions of which kind of manual to get, bmb13? I really have no problem with switching from the KR808s. I have an Echo and use that with the Echo cartos, but I don't mind trying something different and can always get an adapter, right? I started looking though, and there's just so many kinds...plain pass-throughs, ones where the battery can be removed, ones with different volts (? still not sure what that does), and so on. It's all confusing and I haven't ordered anything because I'm a lil bit nervous about making a mistake!
i have an ego pass though that is manual and have had it since last nov with no problems!
the joye ego is a batt also! you plug in the usb cable in the bottom of it as you vape then when your ready to go just unplug it and you have a fully charged 650mha batt
and remember vapeing is a bit of a learn curve! but a lot cheaper than analog cigs
You could get a manual pass through from V4L
or get a passthru and a 510 to 808 adapter from these guys
Either way....about $20....the second choice gives you more versatility without the adapter

The eGo PT is nice. It has a port on the bottom so you can unplug and go, using it as a regular PV. Plug in when you're near a USB power source. I tried the Piper PT. It doesn't unplug and the wire is very short so your're always tethered on a short leash. I'm not a fan. The 510 5v PTs without an inline battery is the same story. They're cheap and perform that way for me (the one I purchased). The eGo or other fat batt type PTs are the best choice for versatility imo. If I were starting over today it would be a first purchase. Good luck.
Ok, thanks for the suggestion! I did look at those and as shallow as I sound, I really liked the great selection of colors offered in the Ego PT.

LOL. It's just my luck that the first question asked is about 808s and pass-throughs - two things I've never touched in my vaping experience. Thanks for covering that one.
cool i have found the joye ego,s give u the best bang for you buck! And now Happy Vaper - Canada Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid, DIY Concentrated Flavorings! has an ego booster to booster the 3.2volts to 4.7volts and they work great i own one of those also
It's only cheaper if you have self control and don't ever look at wood mods. lol

true about the wood mods buy i used a dariwn for like a week so now Im messed up lol I so need one now! and they aren t cheap buy OMG
