normal cigs (analogs) don't give me asthma, as a matter of fact sometimes when I smoke cigs it helps my asthma, I don't know how that works.

Ive been off cigs for two weeks, I try to vape a little when I am nic starved which is a little, I take like 20 to 30 puffs a day or something like that from the vapers that I have.

However when I take on a vape I get this strange feel of tightening in the chest, like an asthma attack, but not a severe one.

Ive been a smoker for 20+ years, keep in mind that I also get asthma when I smell a strong perfume, maybe thats why I am getting that from vaping?

Oh yea I forgot to mention that IVe tried 50% vg 50% pg, and tried 100% vg, and tried 80% pg, all with same result, so I think its not the portion itself. maybe the diy i'm thinking, but not sure.

Welcome my friend. If smoking doesnt bother you only probable thing is your nic rate is very high.
Either you try to inhale directly your lungs more than 6 mg/ml with subohm
or you get heavy nic more than your body can absorb.
The new fashion compells me to believe you use subohm with high rate nic.
Please leave my predictions aside and inform us what is your device how much your coil resistance and what watts you are using to vape.

Ive used both delux smoke south beach , the cartridges has 16mg nic sign on it, but i'm not sure how is that compared to the normal cig in term of puffs.
the other is boge 9510 - it is a fillable cartridges that look the same as smoke south beach, but its nicotine in the bottle says 12mg/ml nic. also i'm not sure how is that comparble to the normal ciggerates

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
Everyones different and if both PG and VG regardless of how mixed and the percentages still give you issues then it would appear your going to have to live with it .

Try "tootle puffing" , yeah i know i know , not very manly sounding but it may help. I believe a tootle puffer is when you take a "tootle" type of hit , it's the opposite of a mega wattage blow a head gasket type hit which is a good thing imo.

Personally, I get this with PG, it's a horrible wheezy feeling in your chest, which is why I use my PG juices with a smaller less powerful tank, but for my 0.23ohm goblin I use pretty much max VG and the only throat hit I get is from the nicotine, try vaping non-nic ejuice and see how that goes for you. It really depends on your nic mg and what kind of setup you're using, but it's also subjective from person to person.

I get dry and wheezy with too much PG...so I drink more water...hydrate. I get heavy chest feeling with too much VG. So I use 60%/40% PG/VG and try to hydrate. Dryness will get worse in the winter in northern climates.

You said you were a smoker so here's an opinion on the nic level in cartos (cartridges). 18mg for a 1 pack a day or greater former smoker. 12mg something less like 1/2 pack a day.

You might also try unflavored liquid at varying nic levels to rule out the flavors being the culprit.

My $0.02.

Vape hits your upper lung. Smoke hits your lower lung.

PG and VG can be irritants to the upper respiratory tract. Screw what people say based on opinion. Material Safety Data Sheets say differently.

If you are suffering from inflammation you can speak to your doc to up your dosage of flovent. Alternately dial down to a smaller vape device. Don't go cloud chasing. Focus on what the vape is intended to do which is to give you a crutch to get off cigarettes. How much cloud do you WANT when what you NEED is nicotine, something to hold in your hand, something to draw into your mouth and something to feel in your lungs.

It's akin to using a class 8 over the road transport truck to tow a 14' fishing boat.
