Botte size and the amount you really get

Is it normal for most e-juice vendors to only list bottle size when you order and the mL of ejuice you really recieved variable? I noticed this with both EC Blends and Alice in Vapeland. With EC Blends, the bottles are usually 4-4.5 mLs (5mL ordered) and Alice in Vapeland had 11-12 mls in the 'standard flip top dripper 18 mL' option. Highbrow and Ahlusion were correct, when it said 5 mls it was 5 mls. I haven't measured mount baker Vapor yet. I know this seems trivial but it kind of irks me that they don't list the correct mL's you will be getting when you order.

I've often wondered this myself. I get bottles that look 3/4 full from some vendors. Granted the bottle is larger than what I ordered (I assume) but it looks bad. Poor product presentation if you ask me. It's like getting a big fluffy bag of chips and realizing when you open it, it's half full of chips and half full of air. Maybe I'll get a 50ml measuring cup and pour my juice in just to see who's skimming off the top and whose not. One ml is hardly missed buy one consumer but it ads up when your filling 200 orders a day.

My unopened order from HHV looks just like this too.

Wow. Funny vendors never seem to like it when I'm a ...little short. ;)

That isn't right, especially considering the prices of some. Did you mention this to the specific vendor?
Most would probably be happy, to throw some free juice your way, and appreciate the heads up.

There are variations in bottle sizes so you really can't tell how much is inside without measuring the liquid with a graduated cylinder or something else.

I have.

In my 30 ml dropper bottles a measured 30 ml comes up to just below the bottle neck, completely covering the bottle shoulders (that area is covered by lower section of the white safety cap in your photo). The 30 ml bottles I use for DIY originally came with V4L juice and they never arrived with a full 30 ml.

PBusrado (one of our favorite youtube vaping reviewers) did a rant awhile back about the amount in ECBlends bottles. He later apologized in another video explaining that the bottles they use are larger than the amount of liquid purchased

Measuring a thick VG juice can be tricky. I'd recommend warming the juice to 110 degrees F, remove the dripper nozzle from the bottle, squeeze out the juice and turn it upside down for several minutes to empty into a graduated cylinder.

A better way to see how much a bottle holds is to fill an empty bottle with water and measure that, not a viscous juice.

Yes, they just responded to me with that and assumed I did what he did by just pouring it into a cylinder. But that wasn't how I measured it. I measured it straight out with a syringe and even let the bottle sit so I could get what reminants were left behind. Still not 5 mL's the way I did it. *shrug* I see their point in responding to me that way but I also can't really argue with my syringes either....

The video does make me realize though how much e juice we all are probably throwing away.

I wasnt trying to say you were lying.I was just saying this could have been the problem. If you are short then I would contact them and see what they have to say . If they correct it then good on them and if they dont find new vendor :)

Oh, no I wasn't thinking that :) I am still new and feeling out my favorite vendors. I just really wondered if most do this. It doesn't seem to be an exact measuring science for most of them LOL

Jeez, one place I order from only sends my stuff in glass dropper bottles. Not only is the bottle as full as it can be, even the dropper is full of liquid too. In all honesty the "over fill" makes getting liquids out of those bottles a bit of a mess the first few times. But I appreciate what they are dong.
