bottom button getting hot

I have the Launcher V2, the button is always getting hot or sticking. I've tried magnets but they were for the Nemesis.. Worked but they cracked in two days, it stopped burning me at least for two days. Every few days I pull on the spring and spread it out and sand in where the button goes. Helps the stickiness but still gets hot. Any other fixes? Actual magnets or spring made for my mod? I know its due to voltage drop, just dont know where to buy a replacement part. Thanks

Welcome to ECF! Can I ask you what kind of setup you are running? What type of atty, coil configuration/resistance, battery type, original or clone mod, etc... The only way to be "sure" it's due to voltage drop is to actually measure said drop with a multimeter. It could be something entirely fixable without parts (although getting vapemail is always nice!)

Make sure you cleaned all the threads on the mod and 510 connection. From the a hot button is due to poor conductivity, either in threads or the switch itself. If the button switch isn't making good connection to the mod body you will get micro arcing which feels like heat, but really is DC hitting you or you become the ground. Tear the switch apart completely and clean it well, make sure it's not sloppy. A good heavier low resistance spring will preform better then magnets. Magnets are great if you can adjust the bottom pin to contact the battery as the magnets touch.

You can get copper wire at home depot I think. I would recommend 20 gauge if you can find it. I also think home depot sells neodymium earth magnets, which (if they fit in your firing button) would definitely be an upgrade. Otherwise, you nead to clean your contacts, and all your threads (all of them). you can use isopropyl alcohol, but if you do, make sure it is completely dry before attempting to use it again. I had this problem with all my mechs until i got the manhattan mod, and it's button literally never gets hot, even with the most crazy sub ohm builds. So neodymium magnets might be the way to go.
