I used the vision top coil clearos for the first year and 3/4 of vaping and got used to the drill of cleaning them and doing dry burns to make them last a good long while. Tried the replacable coil in the vision without any lasting benefits though and leak issues. I then tried and liked the Kanger T2 clearos from Kanger and thought I had better vape mist and flavor from them but wasn't nimble enough to clean and dry burn the heads so just bought a handful of coils and just replaced them as they got weak (Imay go back to this clearo). I ordered the Kanger T3s back in April and liked them so much in the first day that I bought 5 of them and 50 coils. Needless to say I found the coils to be great for 24 hours or so and then they had to be trashed. In the last month I've tried the Aspire, updated vision clearos (top and bottom coil), Kanger Aero tank and Kanger T3D plus a Vape Only that seems to be doing OK. at least at first.. Wisely I've only bought a few coils of each model. I'm not happy with the life of any of them. I'm wondering if the manufacturers are building lack of longevity into all of them to keep us buying at this point and as much as I like vaping when everything works right is how much I dislike vaping when it doesn't work right.!!!!F R U S T R A T E D!!!!!!.

I can't be sure of what's going on without being "hands on" & I'm a long way from Fremont so I'll share my experience results. My go to tanks are Kanger Protank 2's. When I first got the , they seemed to have poor air flow so I drilled out the existing air inlets to 1/16". That helped but there was still room for improvement so I pulled out the little air inlet out of the coil and did the same to it. Better yet but still a bit restrictive. I ordered adjustable air flow bases for them, 8 of them, hoping this was going to be better than my modified ones. They were about the same as my modified ones. Here comes some Buckye stubborness, raised in Paulding County !!! LOL The air inlets on the adj bases did not go all the way to the center. I got a 3/32" bit and drilled all 3 inlets thru to center and put in the drilled coils. SUCCESS !!! Adjusted all the way out they have TO MUCH air flow. We have 10 of them, Ginny Tx & I, and they work wonderfully. In the 3 or 4 mths we've had them we've had 1 coil go bad Recently, we've started buying Megas & Kanger V2s. They're a little better than my modified PT2's but not due to air flow. dual coils. IMHO the extra air flow is giving us longer coil life. More complete vaporizing and better cooling. Megas and V2s come with the extra air flow but we've only had them a week so I can't testify to coil longivity yet. We have Nautilus & iClear 30 tanks that are in the give away box. Hope this helps. My index fingers are tired !!!!!!! LOL

I've tried the Pro Tank (Original and the Evod. I gave the pro tank to my son (he likes it) and I kept the evod but don't like them much. They are just OK. Vapor production declines after a day or 2 also but are usable for a week or so but they draw hard in my opinion and I'm not into drilling. The coils in the Evod and Pro tank last longer by far than the T3s , which lose it after a day even with alternate use of other tanks, I have had them fail after just a couple hours. The T3d seems to last longer but vapor production is noticeably less after a day and declines further from there. I also bought the unitank. Pitched that after a week. They all were awesome with a new coil in them with the T3s&d my favorite for draw and vapor produced. The aerotank is great at first too and declines similarly to the T3d but I don't care for the bulk of it and for whatever reason doesn't seem to have much flavor, I do like the air adjustment though. . I got my T2's back out since my first post. Guess I'll just stick with them for a while longer and maybe buy a few of the CE4's for old times sake. I've been vaping for over 2 1/2 years now.

I burn the newer ones up fast by chain vaping. When they get too hot, the juice cooks on them and smothers the vapor. I clean them, dry burn & soak in vodka to remove any off taste. They're usually good-to-go again, but it's a pain - over & over again.

So what juice are you using? I'm using mostly 50/50 and higher pg base.

Aspire Nautilus, full or mini, with the BVCs. I'm on my seventh day on my first BVC, and no other clearo touches these, dat flavor and dem clouds. Idk, I'm sold.

This. If you want to try the best clearo that I have found you need to try the Nautilus regular or mini using the BVC coils.

After a full 24 hours of using the Nautilus BVC it is still as big a vape as new. :D Maybe there is hope for a good bottom coil clearo. Also after a week of using the BDC, I'd say they are only slightly longer lasting than the Aerotank and T3D. I'll try the autilus mini after my move to Washington next week. Hopefully there is a good vape store in the Portland /Vancouver area. I think all those that love the Kanger and Aspire BDC's must not be as demanding as I am.

This X10000! Im not even a clearo user. I use a REO and IBTANKEDs on a Provari. I bought one on a whim just to try it cause I like recommending stuff to new vapers. This thing rocks! I can also confirm that the coils can indeed be dry burned. I saw a you tube video about it so I tried it and it works! I just wash the coil out, let it dry, give it a quick dry burn and let it soak in alcohol for and hour or so. Good as new!

It sounds to me like the problem may be your juice. Most of the tanks you've used have been successfully used by a lot of people with a reasonable life span. I know some juices are more likely to gunk coils and wicks quickly.

Gottta go with Garylyn on this one.
If you're using high VG could cause problems. I've also noticed certain manufacturer's juices are simply hard on the tiny coils in those clearo's. (Johnson Creek seems to eat em fast for example.)

I rebuild the coils in my Kangers with cotton, so not a problem anymore.

Having said that, as some have suggested the Naughty's have been working really well. Have been using 1 for a month and coil is working fine.

The type or flavor of the liquid matters a lot. When I use menthol or unflavored (which is most of the time) my wicks and coils seem to last nearly forever. Light fruit flavors do OK. Bakery, creams or candy type gunk up in a day. Tobaccos are supposed to gunk up fast too, but I don't use those myself. Some people think high VG is worse for coil longevity, I haven't noticed that, but these days I stick to at least 50%PG or more.
