I like Cyclones. A lot.

The have fantastic flavor, but if clouds you seek, they're probably not the best choice.

The Omega is actually an rda and I have drilled out the center post of the 510 connector to allow for bottom feed.
Pretty much every bottom-feeder is an RDA that someone drilled out. In a few cases, the such as the Cyclone or the Odin, there are "factory" bottom-fed versions available. But almost any RDA can be converted. A good source for bottom-feeding atties is Chowderhead1972 (a registered supplier) in the Catfish atty mods thread.

Rossum - Thanks for the post and the link to the Catfish atty mods thread.

The Omega I have has a hollow center post. It was a pretty easy adaptation. It was necessary to drill a hole in the side of the center post up in the cup area and one through the bottom.

Do the Cyclones have hollow center posts?

I suspect some drippers may not have hollow center posts, and perhaps some post are not centered. Is there any hope for them?

No, Cyclone center posts are not hollow. However, ChowderHead does a fine job drilling them. I have some that are "factory drilled" and some that are done by CH. The CH ones are at least as good, if not better.

Cool_Breeze, Like you, I drilled out my CLT Infinite in preparation of my gdeal build;

...interesting looking atty.

Uh, for maximum flavor you want the standard, non-AFC cap. You end up with a substantially smaller chamber.

Do you have any tricks to manage the air flow volume?

I just ream the hole out to where I want it, which to be honest, is relatively tight (less than 1/16").

I keep saying somebody should make a chamber size reducer for the Cyclone AFC cap. The only reason it has more volume is cosmetic. VA wanted to keep the same proportions, and that meant making it taller. Most of that extra volume could be made to go away with a removable ring-shaped that fits in the top of the chamber.

Thanks...I understand about volume and the importance there of. ...keep 'em small.

I wonder if you could use a few hi-temp o-rings stuffed up in there as kinda of a proof-of-concept?

I find direct lung hits with an afc cyclone running duals are very good, whereas my non-afc cyclone beats it for flavour with a mouth2lung draw. Further, I find the A6 (RM3, in reo parlance) with duals is even more flavourful, all of which supports the smaller chamber = more flavour notion.

IIRC Turbocad had a post about doing just that
