im really surpised at the vaping excellence this thing provides. WOW. this thing really produces A TON of vapor. its kind of incredible how much it really does put out. i have been using variable voltage/wattage devices for a while, but i always ended up buying a regular electronic mod. i broke a provari, i recently broke a sid. it seems like after i drop it a few times something gives up on it. the provari hung on the longest, but it too died. today i bought a sigeilei #10 mechanical mod, i am using a protank II and a kick. i am running a 1.8ohm coil. this thing puts out more vapor then anything else i have ever had, and the provari was pretty good.

i bought this thing because i tend to think that a mechanical mod should be more durable. simple stainless steel tube with a simple mechanical switch, should last years. when and if the kick fails, those are only $25. i was pleasantly surprise on the vapor production. this thing will fog up a room just about.

I got my first mech early on, never had a regulated mod, and I don't see any reason to buy one. There is more that can go wrong with them and they break a lot easier. Lots of people love their Provaris and Vamos I know, but for me a mech does it. I can drop that mech without having to glue it back together. I don't need my mod to tell me how many vapes I've taken, what time/date it is, what volts/watts I'm running at, or any of that. I just need it to give me a good vape when I push the button. That's what I bought it for.

It will take a beating and keep on going, and it gives me great vapor. What's not to like?

I have both and love both. I like my ProVari for cartos and tanks. Thats pretty much what I use all day, it's what leaves the house with me. I love a mech and an RBA at home. I love both...and for some reason, I love the big clouds....not enormous...but big. I'm not sure why, it never really mattered that much with cigs. I bet Provape would fix your ProVari reasonably. Never hurts to have a good back up.

I like regulated and mechanical also in between. Unregulated with a electronic switch or sensor. I dont think one produces more or less vapor than the other that is completly up to the delivery device being used. I do think unregulated seem to work better with certain types of delivery systems.

Theres no comparison as to durability for the most part mechs have little or nothing to break so it stands to reason they'd be tougher.

The less vapor for me the better

Sorry I'm not being a wiseass...I'm really wondering why the amount of vapor and filling up a room is so important?

I'm not big on a lot of vapor either. I see these videos of huge clouds and think of Syria and chemical warfare. And I think of a rooster bragging about how big his pecker is too, if you follow my drift (g)..

Vapor = mental satisfaction for me

Nope. Has nothing to do with bragging. I get a genuine satisfaction out of chasing clouds. I've mentioned in several other threads that this affinity for clouds got me into trouble with some other smokables in my younger years. Now I get the satisfaction with flavor and without nicotine! But I do have some nic juice for rainy days... and I usually drink on rainy days... just saying...

See, that's what I keep suspecting. I don't think mods/batteries/mechs matter in terms of flavor and vapor production. I think that's all in the delivery system and the amount of volts/watts that you're using in relation to resistance.

I think the mods/mechs only matter in terms of consistency. I don't care though... I still want the cool stuff.

That is a really extreme comparison...if one vaper likes clouds, that's their preference. You don't see the cloud crew coming at you about puny vapor...

OP, I've come to the conclusion that the power isn't coming out at the device in a mHz ouput, it's constant. The power is instantaneous, and solidly sustained.

Get some noalox, and do every part that has threads. It'll hit even better.

I enjoy watching reviews of all the latest techno devices that are brought out, I must admit it's amazing what they can do. Having said that I'm content with my mechanicals with one thing or the other on top in the 1.5 to 1.9 ohm range. Less complicated and less to go wrong. My 1st mechanical (P-18) purchased about three year ago still works like brand new.

My setups are usually capable of making somewhat big clouds. Nothing like what you see people do with drippers on youtube, tho. I build my setups cloud-capable solely for the purpose of producing my desired amount of vapor with a shorter draw. My focus is not on competition style vaping, but on something that resemble than way I used to smoke cigarettes.

... just sharing another perspective.

A cloud equal to what an analog produces is what I find to be preferable, a little more is fine too. Some of these 'clouders' could get a job on a destroyer laying down a smokescreen! Just trying to share my view, especially when it comes to John Q. Public and his perceptions of how that huge cloud may/can/will/guaranteed (depending on the anti talk) affect his health. "Second hand smoke" made the general non-smoker aware of how smoking was 'killing' them. An ad campaign with "Second hand vaping" will do the same to vaping as it did to cigarettes, truth be damned!
